So you're saying a shock will work in place of a strut? I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, but the auto parts store guy showed me a strut & it looked nothing like what I ordered. KYB also it wouldn't work on my Accord.

I bought these but realized the ad said for civic, will they work on my Accord? Guy at auto part store said I needed whole strut, not just a shock. I know little to nothing about cars but the Honda dealership won't even touch this. My mechanic said he'd do it if I could find the parts.

The rear struts on my 1983 Accord Hatchback are SHOT. I can't find replacements anywhere. The rear is so squirrelly that it scares me to drive it over 45 mph. Can anyone help me find some or tell me another way to fix this issue? Thank you!
