I went to the bike show, as I usually do on monday nights. At a few points during the season, they have a show. This show is a compulsory entry show (They just stick a number on your bike) and the attendees get to cast their votes for classes, Sport bike, metric tourer, metric cruiser, cruiser, harley, blah blah

I roll in, and decide to park right next to a show ZX12R. Custom paint, all polished, "not dropped 5 times", shiny and clean. Even the chain was clean (I had a word with the owner). Mine has the plastic repair gum on the sides, the engine case is scuffed, the levers are bent and broken. The mirrors are scuffed, the muffler is scuffed and I haven't washed it since our last rain.

It's looking pretty bad. But I didn't show up to enter the show, so whatever.

Well imagine my surprise ... When I won FIRST PLACE in the sport bike category. 5 entrants, 3 trophies and I got 1st place. I was shocked, he.... Mortified. I took my trophy, posed for the camera, returned to my bike and he was GONE. booked out of the show toot-sweet. The guy that gave me the trophy said "Everyone must like a bike that gets ridden!"

So yeah, new hot girlfriend, new awesome job, empty and clean house, TROPHY WINNING bike - Life is GOOD.

I'll grab a pic of the bike tonight, avec trophy. The driveway of the house looks like utter shit, totally redneck. Chevy up on blocks, bags of leaves, broken down shit, a truck cap, a pile of scrap steel.
