Thanks, it definitely does. I'm honestly very happy with it, and the bike in general, and also that I took my dad's advice on the 250, he was definitely right as far as when he said a 500 and up will be much easier to get up to speed on the highway, and it sure helps.

Thanks Cel!

Thanks again,

I used to race BMX, probably did a top speed of 7mph on the dirt, and I know that even just dirt, you can get messed up, so let me assure you that gear is taken care of.

I was poking around target today, stalking young girls, and I found that there are a few nice 750 model kits. Same color and everything.

To date, I haven't found any ZX12 models. I hate owning things that don't have a model made up for them (I've been looking for a 1981 Celica twincam model forever)

Also, with that exhaust (it exits near your head) ear plugs will be routine for gear as well.

I wear ear plugs when I ride this year, and it totally rocks. My hearing is ok, last year at the end of the season I had taken a noticeable hit to my hearing range.

I did notice that my ears ring a little after riding for a while, how do the ear plugs effect how you notice other people?

I honestly love the stubby exhaust though.

Model kits, as in little model bikes? I just might have to pick one up, I haven't put a model together in years.

There are several types of ear plugs out there, from expensive to cheap. I prefer cheap for a variety of reasons. Number one, I don't have to wash them. I toss them. Number 2, the cheap ones lack the string and ribs and plugs and valves and switches and LEDS and shit - So when I'm in my helmet, I don't feel them (I tried plastic earplugs, and after about an hour my ear was such in pain from the physical presence it was ridiculous)
I now use the "booger" ones. IT's a closed cell foam that you roll up like a booger and gently place in your ear. Then in about a minute, it slowly expands and shuts off the ear canal. Since it's closed cell foam and not layer after layer of conical plastic, it has a funky effect on the sounds around you - it drops the higher pitched noises (wind noise and funk) and doesn't seem to do much to the lower sounds (tires on concrete, conversations, approaching vehicles and people) So it's basically the same as listening to a tape on Dolby NR.

Check it out - I know some people get different bike experiences than others, and I know people who don't ride with ear protection because they WANT the "violence" of riding (The air, the buffetting, etc... it's what they want). I prefer to feel like I'm skiing down the road on the back of a dead angel.

Ultimate Ears Musician's Plugs.

Or, if you like to live vicariously, use the UE IEMs. I have a buddy who uses them on his 'busa. In downtown Orlando. At super-sonic speeds. He's fucking crazy.

From what I've seen of Orlando, high speeds are easy there. Straight roads and flat countryside.

If you had the ability, you should journey up to CT and catch some of the tree-tunnelled backroads and roller-coaster side roads that were nothing more than paved cow paths.

I wish I could, but I'll have no bike, and probably no car when I get to MD. I'll only be there for maybe a week maximum, so it's not too big of a deal. From what I understand, the NE is a lot like where I live in Germany.

I have no experience to relate that. I understand they are similar too. But my friend from Finland says that New England is exactly like Finland in everyway imaginable.

From the pictures, Pennsylvania is like Germany.

Pennsylvania has a lot of hills. My area specifically has a lot of bumps, but PennDOT's working hard on them now that I got the GSXR.

EDIT: Cel I know what kind of ear plugs you're talking about, I used to use them when I'd camp with my dad so that I wouldn't hear him snore/all the other nature sounds outside the tent. I guess I'm just afraid that someone will be honking at me, and I won't hear them.
