Like the title says, I have come upon a "semi-wrecked" 00 R6 from a friend at a yard that is missing a title. It looks as though it was taken for some parts etc, but otherwise is in really good shape... only missing rear subframe, seat assebmly, gas tank, and rear wheel and some other small misc bits

I can pick this up for a very very reasonable price and I wanted to see if any one has taken on a bike project like this where I would pick up a titled frame and swap everything over... pros, cons etc....

I miss riding, I like wrenching so this is right up my alley

*edit* bike is NOT stolen, just put through the system

If by "reasonable price" you mean free, then go for it.

He is asking 750 but if i can get him to $400, im going to do it..... we'll see. Any more than that and its not worth it IMO

Meh. Too much of a bike is made up entirely frame.

You can drive a car with a bent frame, you can't drive a bike with a bent frame. If the engine is good, it's worth the $400.

not worth it. If the wheels are perfect, then you can clean them up and make a $100 profit. All of the plastics and shit will be cheap
