FAQ

1) Why aren’t we competing at KartTrak? KartTrak has gone out of business.
2) Why are we racing on Thursdays? Tuesday, Friday and Saturday are unavailable because they are Ontrack’s busiest days; Wednesdays conflict with CART meetings; and Sundays conflict with Wintercross
3) Why is there a series entry fee? The entry fee covers assures Ontrack that the series competitors are committed to making the series a success.
4) Why is the series restricted to CART members? Ontrack has racing leagues of its own and CART does not want to interfere with those activities.
5) What determines if a competitor is a rookie? No recent karting experience. Participation in previous CART Karting series disqualifies one from racing in the rookie class.
6) Is racing at Ontrack ‘rough’? No. Ontrack has three corner workers who strictly enforce their policy against bumping. Competitors who foul opponents will be warned once then ‘black-flagged’, which means ejection from the race.
7) What equipment does Ontrack require? Helmet with face shield and a neck collar. Participants may use their own gear or Ontrack-supplied equipment.
8) What happened to the indoor autocross series? This is CART and Ontrack’s first joint activity and including indoor autocross was not feasible.
9) How does the cost of the 2007 CART Karting Series compare to the 2006 CART Karting Series?
