If the Z tunes out right...I should be there...I hope...

Got the 50mm TB off, installed the 60mm 240sx TB, trying to rig up the TPS, AFM, and a cheesy intake tube, got the new optical eye shutter disk in the dizzy, and I'm tuning it now for the ignition...but the Z is just not reving up the way it was...sat a kid should be swinging by to drop off a tube for the 240sx, and if I can get it all to work out then I'll be there....

But tommorrow we might be going to home depot to rent a truck and get about $300 worth of roofing shit for the garage...which will prolly just be the plywood only...and that means I'll start tearing the roof off ASAP....before fall really gets cool...

hehe...I doubt it...it's the only stable transport I have now...

anyways...small update on the Z....

Dizzy is back together and timed correctly finally...TB is on and works...TPS is on and works, I still have to fab up the intake tube to the MAF and then to the CAI, and everything was going good...until....

I notice some drips coming from the water pump....

So, I guess tommorrow I'll go pick up a pump, and swap it over, flush the rad and engine, and hope that it will be running a little cooler....then I might hook up the temp gauge.....and then I get to do the fun joys of screwing around with the MAF meter to add more fuel to the extra volume of air going in...not by much...but a few clicks should adjust it good....then replace both fuel filters and jack up the rear to see if everything is good, on the last run and the drive home from the last autocross, it was clunking a bit...might be a shock strut retaining cap loosened up....

So more than likely...I highly doubt I'll make it this sunday....

But I think it might make it to the drift clinic in NJ next friday....anyone want to go and haul some tires and tools for me if I can afford it? And somebody buy some damn rims from me so I can get more tires and cash for the entrance fee

I thought you were dropping the rest of the season because you had no money, wanted to work on the house, and only had one running car ?

I've been getting OT lately...and for the rest of the year its there....Plus the Z should almost be bulletproof..got a new water pump, not a rebuilt one, new thermostat, the new dizzy part, got it timed right on the dot, the vac advance is working up to par, newwer TB, new seals all on the intake TB area,...only thing that should hamper the engine is the damn front main seal...and that will be done over the winter, still got to drop the gas tank...but I filled it the other day, so a few days of driving it to get it on E should be good, and I got to flush the tank, fuel system, and get new fuel filters. The clutch is still good, the tires are still new, and a full day of sliding with an instructor is what I really need.

But the NE Z club wants to do a cruise and/or do the Oct 2 Autocross, so I'm not sure whats going to happen...all the events are crammed into a few days, I want to go to them all, but the wife is starting to go crazy with me about the cars...and if the Z is ready, I am ready, but the bank account says no...then I'm screwed.

Sep 30...full day of drifting lessons...$100 plus gas and tolls...in NJ..lose a day of OT
Oct 1..possible Z cruise/BBQ...just gas..but the wife wants to go to her freinds house for the day...
Oct 2...Autocross $20 and a few runs, but a few new Z freinds will be there...
Oct 8th...Drift Compition... $75 plus gas and tolls, in NJ...but on a new track...lose a day of OT

And I got a roof to put on...the truck next door and a trailer to haul the old roof away will be ready for use next week, the estimated cost for the rooffing supplies is about $600, time to do it should take 2 days, the wife will chip in $300 for the stuff, $300 from my pocket, property taxes is due on the OCt 1st...for $660...I got that, and should have a feww hundrd to play with for a week..unless I can sell off some wheels...then w have more. The Civic needs to get the valve guide seals done with the head on the car..then it's back to DD duty, and better MPG. And then back to prepping the house for a hard winter...if the house and garage is warm, then I can do all the little projects inside like walls, floors, ceilings, and building another car.

So much stuff I want to do, so little time to do it, and the budget is just barely there to do it.

Nah, 3rd run was my best. We had an Acura vs Audi run off before the fun runs, and I got it down to a 56.0xx on hot tires.
