Default 03 sonoma 4x4 howl noise

anyone know anything about a noise coming from the front end well in 4x4 mostly when turning at lower speeds. any ideas about what it could be.

i had it on a hoist and had a stethascope to the front end and it sounds from the half shaft has minor noise but ive been told that the solenoid for the ft diff could cause a noise. just wondering if anyone has heard of this issue. or experienced it

I know for a FACT the wheel bearings are bad in thoes. I'd look there first.

ive checked them tho. and its only when its in 4x4. the wheel bearings would be a constant noise would they not?

u joints??? maybe one of the hubs is starting to go bad? my dad has a ford ranger and before he switched the hubs they would make an awful noisee when in 4 wheel drive
