|  2001 neon, ignition switch? friend of mine has a neon 4 door auto and the keys been messing up, sometimes it wont turn the switch and sometimes it will, lately its been getting worse, you have to jiggle/fool with it for awhile to get it to turn, and he has 3 keys and they all do it so i dont think its a worn key, so my question is the only option to replace the switch or could it be something else? (switch is 150 bucks) |

| sounds to me like worn tumblers inside the switch. hit up a junkyard and find one that has a key in it gotta be cheaper than the stealership |

| I think the problem is not the ignition switch but the "cylinder lock" for the key. Just my 02 cents. |
