The wheel patterns are the same if its a 5 lug...5x114 pattern I think, slap those puppies on!!As for the 4g63 it WILL work...if you have money to waste, but not worth it. the sohc 1.8/2.0 is mounted deferently then the turbo models. Go outside and look under the hood of your car and compare it to a picture of a 4g equiped eclipse. Your trans mission should be on the opposite side as the 4g63s', also you will notcie that one engine has the header on the front/ intake on the back.....but the other will have the header mounted near the fire wall, and the intake near the radiator. This poses a problem becuase your eingine mounting locations are directly mirrored to that of the 4gs' You would have to make or have made new chassis mounts to accomadate the 4g63s' motor mount placement. After the money you spent making the 4g63 work....you could have bought a whole 1st gen. with the turbo motor allready equiped.

If its the motor I'm thinking of, its very similar to the neon sohc. Start buy checking that and see about the aftermarket support for these. I believe you could go turbo for really cheap. If not you could always go nitrous...you can put nitro on anything....just be carefull, shit's dangerous and harmfull for the engine if you don't pay attention to how its installed/bottle temp/yaddy yadda.

Find a similar year turbo. No offense, but trying to go fast on the N/A 4g63 is like having a brother that brings home model-caliber girls all day while you're jacking off to internet porn.

What if I jack off to pictures of said model calibur girls after he leaves?? j/k
4g63 is a turbo motor.....4g67 is a n/a 1.8 ( most likely he has this one ) 4g62 is also N/A, its a 2.4 There are plenty of mods to do but not to much in way of a turbo other than buying another 1st gen. ....Accept one way..its a pain in the ass to find the parts though. Turbo 4G37 FAQ - DSMsource.com Forums Check that link for your turbo info, check this one for other parts( note all the links to buy the parts are included); 1.8L mods - DSMsource.com Forums Good luck with the mods, keep us informed on your progress!!! |

you have a 4g37 1.8 sohc? you can swap in a 4g63....
also - if you want a fast n/a 4g63 you're best bet is buying a 4g mirage and swapping it in. |

Sorry, I did say It WAS NOT possible... I should have said NOT A GOOD IDEA. Swapping to this motor wouldn't be like a civic B-swap or anything like that. There is alot of other shit that HAS to be swapped with the engine. Any of the guys at DSMsource/DSMtuners will tell you its way more expensive then turboing what you have or buying an allready turbo'ed dsm. Now buying the mirage instead isn't a bad Idea either.
