well i dunno where to ask this so here goes,

my older brother has a 97 eclipse gs spyder

he told me he can't get second to stay in gear just wont stay in, if you know something to fix this please we need to get this fixed soon before snow starts to really drop...

dsm cars the trannys are junk send it to john shepperd he will fix it lol

Bent shift fork?

My buddy had one and that was his problem with his transmission. It wouldn't go into gear except at certain rpm's.

Either a bent shift fork, or bad Synchros...

you can find a 4g63 transmission for wicked cheap on any DSM site.

will that bolt up to the 2.4 sohc though, i dont know tons about the NA dsm cars i know more about the 4g63 turboed cars, i m not sure what flip flops in everything, if you could find me a site or a dsm site that would help thanks again guys

Eclipse spyder IS NOT a 4g63 in the N/A version... It isn't the 420a Either... It is a 2.4 Galant Motor. So you need a Galant Tranny./

2.4L galant motor = 4g64 = any 4g6x 7 bolt tranny will bolt up.

yea i know that its not the 420a, thats the motor thats in the neons as well, n the galant trannies we cant find anywhere around here, if you have any links let me know thanks
