Default win?

My uncle handed me a nissan 4x4 5spd truck. He's not sure of the year on it, never really looked at it. what he says is wrong with it is that you cant run so fast or it start to cut out. sounds like either fuel filter clogging, fuel pressure regulator, or fuel pump. Either way. freebee. If its what i think it is, its a hardbody.

Is this a win? because I'm having a hard time thinking someones dumping their headache onto me.

Well its not a Hardbody. Instead its an '84 Nissan 720 (i think) Kingcab. Its pretty decent, just picked it up today. My uncle apparently still owe's alittle bit for it, around 400.00. but its not bad, started right up for me. I'm not wanting to drop this one, instead I'll just drive it, and toss it in some mud. Im thinking about painting it being its a nastly looking light silverish blue. Im thinking camo. I'll post pics tomorrow after I clean it out.

flat green is definitely one of the ideas in my head too. I am going to weld two 3" or 4" pipe bumpers up on this rig, being the old back one is all bent down, and the front looks like its been mauled by a tree stump. I was getting the crazy idea of an exo-skeleton roll cage.. but eh. forget that, not on a dd.

For those who dont know what these things look like.. heres an idea.

I change my vote... kinda. OD Green, Flat black bumpers, grill, rims, and trim. And a MF'n potato gun turret mounted in the bed!

Nissan didnt make the Hardbody's in 1974. the Hardbody didnt come out until mid 1986. before that was the Nissan 720 which was out between mid-1983 to mid 1986. before that it was Datsun 620 which was made from 1972 to 1983.

Dump the bed, go OD green, 4" pipe front and rear bumpers with an external cage. Mud the hell out of it.

my suggestion is to do a "rat mini" and by that i mean:

-sfbd
-bagged
-black painted stealies
-white wall tires (doesnt have to be the thick white walls)
-put the rusted body on and leave it looking that

that would be badass...

Well, my win might of just became a better win. Some one came by today, saw the Nissan and offered up their 95 Civic Hatch. The hatch doesnt have a engine, but it does have the Hasport mounts, and a hydro b18 tranny. As well it comes with some kind of turbo, when i saw the car before the engine was boosting pretty good. But due to hard times and needing a shelter over his gf and kid, he sold the b16 it had. Now he needs a decent ride, and just so happens I have a truck he loves. I'm going to go look at it today and see if its decent enough for this trade, I'll take pics too.

He has the front bumper for it, it was inside his house, along with the transmission and the turbo stuff.

So what does HS think?

the only thing missing is the engine. Everything is still dangling around in side. all the turbo parts, transmission, clutch and flywheel, etc.

Yeah, I have the time, money and space needed for this to sit and wait for parts. All I'm paying for the Nissan is 800. The civic with the b18 parts and turbo stuff, with out the motor can easily be sold in miami for 1000. That is, if I want to sit on it or not. I sold a crappy civic with a 30 minute paint job for 1200 only because I really didnt want it anymore. What I'm getting to is, I can profit either way.

ask the guy for a couple hundred to boot, if he bites then feed it to him.. if not then give him a few days to think it over.. if he really wants the truck he will come up with 200 to get it, and if not then trade anyway if you really want the car... its always nice to get a few extra bucks if you can
