Default Yamaha 350Twin Banshee?

Alright I'm doing a side job for a friend of mine. He had bought a complete banshee that was in parts. well he's paying me to but the beast together. The engine on it has been to the shop. heres the list of whats "said" to be in it. so dont gun me down because someone else is retarded. shaved racing head, port and polished exhaust and intake, bigger jets, CF reeds, hot rod crank shaft. and 1mm bore.

well this isnt all just about what the bike has. Ive worked on alot of atv's but this one is surely kicking me. and i m just asking this until tomorrow when i get a hold of the book for it and actually get all the info i need for the bike.

its not getting spark. nor can i tell if its getting power anywhere else. i wont be getting the tool i need in order to pull the magneto off till tomorrow either. (clean it and make sure its doing what its suppose to do) I know that rust in or around your magneto can cause it all not to work right and do what it needs to do. and from what i was told its not the coil because the coil would of went out when theres power to it. not just sitting.

as far as i know the bike was running before being disassembled. reason for disassembly was because the old frame was stolen and this bike came with a new frame. no one had the time or the tools to do the switch. except me.

so any one who has some info on this problem of no spark.

(if im not completely correct on everything thats in this post correct me then.)

Is the magneto and pick-up rusted? If so knock the rust off with some sandpaper, then check spark again, Are the plugs fouled? The rev box plugged in? All the grounds hooked up?

i dont know if the magneto has rust or not. the one tool, out of many tools i have, that i need i dont have. i need like. a pully puller. i have a flywheel puller.... but. no pully. revbox is connect. all the connections are connected.

i could only find ONE ground on the entire harness. which was a ground near the Voltage ma bob (cant remember the name for it at the moment) towards the back. coil is connected right. sparks are brand new. i even ran a ground the the engine and on to the frame just in case that was needed. but still nothing.

untill i can get that magneto off or get an extra coil to make sure that its not the coil either. i dont have a clue.

but some one did offer my friend 3500 for the bike as sits. so tonight i m going to find out if he's going to do it. i just want to get it to fire so that way i can say. yeah. i finshed the job on that thing. and not be like. i dont have a fucking clue. want me to work on your car?? <_<

The key? I took the key out on my XR50 and at first I thought "Unplug the wires that go into the key and plug them back together" It doesnt work like that, if you unplug the key switch, leave all the wires unplugged.

well the key is in it. but i know that on 2 strokes if you unplug the key they'll run. thats how most 2 strokes get stolen. all you have to do is unplug the key and kick start it. and go.
