well, My dad is selling his truck and some of the money was gonna be used to fix my Civic. BUT, a guy just offered to trade him a 95 Mustang GT with some mods + cash for it.

If so i will be getting the stang and my Civic will be sold.

I dont have the complete list but some of the upgrades added were Headers, Cobra IM, Headers, Dual flowmaster exhaust, a "diablo(i think thats the name)" performance chip, and some other little things (i will add a complete list when i get home). unfortunatly its an Auto-tragic :( but i can always convert it to manual at a later point in time.

I guess my main thing is everything i have learned about cars has to do with honda. What should i look for on this car when deciding. What are some questions i should ask?

I dont wanna get jipped and end up with a POS in a few months haha, Thanks in advance :)

1. Get the Mustang
2. Sell the Mustang
3. Use the money from said sale to finish Civic
4. Buy motorcycle with remaining money

Yeah Fords aren't too reliable. If it was a second car or plaything, and you had a passion for it, then go for it.

The sell shift kits for auto's like that that will make them shift solid as hell!! An Auto in a mustang is a different story then an auto in a civic.....

Mustangs are played out as fuck but they can be fun too.

mustangs are electrical nightmares, that is the number one thing ive heard about them,,and the auto's are gay..
but like turbo said..the shift kit will make it better..
imo sell the stang and fix the civic

here is the exact email he sent with all the upgrades ...

looks like any other 14mpg car on the road. i wouldn't even go that route. i would just sell the truck and use that cash. sell the civic. and use all of that money to get an evo or something newer that is fast out of the box and wont need modding.

I would rather build it than buy it, granted my civic isnt as fast as an evo or an srt or mustang, but I know my car inside and out. My $0.02.

give it 10 years. your thoughts will totally change.

Maybe, but for now Im really happy with what Im driving, not saying I will only drive a Civic for the rest of my life, I just like to build my stuff myself. Wether it be my car, dirt bike, mountain bike. I dont like things stock, and my income right now only allows for low-end stuff.

the stang can be fun on a dry day in a straight line. thats about it, imo. if youre used to motor swap/boost type of pull with a civic, the stock gt's not gonna do it for you. however, you can slap a blower on the gt for like 500 or so (ebay), and turn it into a fun little auto. just dont try to take any corners:(

are they as played out as much as civics? lol

even more so, i think. they were played out back in the 80's, long before we even had a chance to play out civ's

Does your dad pay for your gas? That's something you should consider. The Mustang is going to suck a lot more gas than your Civic currently does...

yea u should think about the gas 1st off...i wouldnt care if its a mustang of a damm truck gas is killer right now so thats 1st in for most..then ill think about the mods done to the car..i remember my uncle had a 89mustang with a damm 6.3 create motor he floored it for like 20mins to see how fast it went he litterally burn like 1/2 or a tank..

Yes, both are played out just as bad, however, I see maybe one well built civic every few months. It's very rare.

a really well done civic > mustang.

keep in mind, my idea for well done is a almost stock looking car, super clean, with 250+ WHP.

hell, even a stock civic with slight drop, mild wheels, and a GSR swap (stock looking exhuast) is still damn nice. another combo you don't see often =(

hmm yeah, it wont get the amazing gas mileage my civic does, but its a shit ton nicer than my other cars, and thats what im considering.

FINALLY a car with AC (i live in texas and the heat is killer), and power everything haha. Im still thinking though, cause i love my civic :(

Other things, My civic is sitting right now and it needs ALOT of work. which is why im even considering a new car. If my civic ran fine it would be completely out of the question. Also the mustang has considerably more power than my civic, and that would be nice.
For a while i have been contemplating getting a new car, and so far it fits all the things i wanted in a new car. Something with some power, thats automatic, that has a nice interior, AC, and in good condition.

but still, it might not happen, because Everything i know about cars is about hondas lol, and i seriously love my civic, and i dont wanna regret getting rid of it like i do my Integra :(
