I have a question. I know DA's like the pledge of allegiance but no I have a 97 gs-r that I just got. I have not much knowledge of these DCs....

Can I put that nicer front bumper from a 98 on it? I haven't had much time to look but....yea. I like the way the lights look little less goofy. I intend to do a full usjdm conversion. (Its not JDM unless the frame is from japan lol)

Anywho... also my homie has a 95 rs and he stays with me till about 3rd gear, is that normal or should i do some more work on this thing? I bought it fully intending to do some serious work anyways, but I just was wondering I never seen an RS vs a GSR battle so, just wondering on that, also I just bought a new set of premium steel cd/s rotors and ceramic pads (yea noisy but i can smoke you in a race with my stock gsr cause braking is just as good as goin fast.)

PS. Is this intake any good lol? I was bored so I bought it

That intake is nice, and yes, you can put the newer front bumper on it. You'll need the newer headlights too though...

You might as well convert it to 2000, like I did with mine. Looks a lot better. I had a 2000 itr front bumper though. Your going to need;
1) headlights
2) front bumper
3) rear bumper
4) tail lights (full red, no amber insert)

yea i agree with lsvtec...swap to the 2000's if u ever seen one they look cleaner, but no one really notices and yes UR GSR SHOULD HAVE EATEN THAT RS ALIVE IN 2ND GEAR

My VTEC wasn't hitting right, I had to do a full fluid change plug change valve adjustment and when I put the new intake on it seemed to run 100% better. Appears to have been the dirtiest air filter on record. BUT

Happy f*ckin day it just got stolen last night.....my poor gizzr =( im going to cry

There are too many Hondas being stolen. Until we all start securing our cars, it's not going to end. Lock picking is too easy and nobody pays attention to alarms. We all need to figure our shit out.

Did you not read the "car theif mecca" thread? Security measures only help to a certain point. If somebody really wants your car they will take it. They'll put it on a flat bed and haul it away. It's just part of the risk of owning a modified Honda...

Yes I read it, and yes I'm aware of the ways of criminals. Name me a security device, and I'll find a way to circumvent it. Heck, offhand I can tell you that the locks on garages can be ripped off in under 5 seconds with a claw hammer.

One idea I've had is to cement a steel post into the ground and run a heavy (2in plus) bar through it and through a heavy bracket welded to the thickest, most central support of the body, along with reinforcements tying it into the rest of the car. It's not foolproof, but it's another line of defense.
You could add a device that would spray pepper spray if the car was started and a switch wasn't tripped.
Alternatively, you could have a device set up to set the theif and car on fire. It's extreme, but....

You could always keep your car looking bone stock, maybe paint on some fake rust, have one mismatched door...

then it would just get stolen by a crackhead.
