I need to find a webhost/registrar that will allow me to add my own CNAME,MX,TXT,PTR,SPF, I don't want a dedicated server just a webhost that will let me add my own info. Any help to point me in the right direction would be great

Also my registrar is networksolutions, I've never had any problems with them, but is there a registrar out there that's better ??? do you like godaddy or someone else ??

also my current webhost uses plesk, is cpanel comparable/better/worse ?

I've never used plesk.

But Cpanel is easy to understand.
Everything is right that and labeled clearly.

plesk sucks ass. hate it. cpanel is WAY better, but its also resource heavy.
i use godaddy for my names just because i've been there forever...

most hosts with cpanel/WHM will allow these things. WHM is key. you need the webhost manager to do a lot of the DNS things.

here's a couple screens

you can add spf's in there just the same..

domain.com. 14400 IN TXT “v=spf1 a mx -all”

etc

a VPS might be nice for you guys...

I looked at small orange and saw those options I was also checking out fluidhosting.com

Network solutions is a solid registrar. However, I would not use them to host. I have a client who uses them and shares a server with 1600 other sites. 300 other sites is quite a lot to share with. 1600 is absurd. I usually recommend dreamhost and 1and1 for hosting services. A good host will share your server with no more than 50 other sites. Networksolutions and Powweb are some of the worst offenders of overloading servers.
