got a COMPLETE 91 civic si AND 97 integra ls. i have $1000... i need reliable transportation ASAP. should/can i complete the B18B swap reliably within that budget? its either the swap, another D16A6/or mini me(i have a Y8 head), or buy a $300-$500 POS to get by for a month or two. i just can't seem to find a used D16A6 for cheap here lately. i could also swap the B18B into another integra shell... the one i have was wrecked in the rear and would cost more than im willing to spend to fix. im located near ft. worth, texas if u need anything from the shell. i dont have any pics but the exterior is an 8 or 9 outta 10... its nice and stock... guy i bought it from lost it and hit a curb with back left tire... bent the frame. interior is decent... seats are a little beat, but the dash, console, shift boot, door upholster(4 door LS), doors with power windows and locks, tinted windows(car is forrest green), sunroof is mint, mirror too. hood is a 6 or 7... paint is faded, maybe chipped, but hood is 100% straght. thanks
 
1000 is way enough to swap the ls into the civic si. Roughly 300 for the mounts, roughly 100 for the shift linkage, and you will need to change the axles I will check into which ones to use...
 
Oh and you will need a 91 ls intake manifold and thermostat housing..

INNOVATIVE has a motor mount/shift linkage/axle kit for like $500 or $600... i would way rather save money and use what i got. it can't cost much to get the linkage modified and to re-use the cv shafts.... but at the same time i have no idea what shape the clutch, tranny, or cv shafts are in as the car was wrecked when i bought it. and i will have to make a decision whether buy the hydro to cable conversion kit for the hydrolic tranny or buy a cable tranny(which INNOVATIVE also makes)... i talked to someone at INNOVATIVE a while back and they were willing to sell me EVERYTHING they made for the EF for $1000 minus shipping. at the time it seemed like a damn good deal. i was getting other things like throttle cable kit, a/c mount kit, hydro to cable conversion....

haha im running on abt 5 hours in the last 48 hours, last night was totally worth it though, haha ima sleep like a baby 2nite
 
Im pretty sure you need a obd0 intake but the thermostat housing can stay if you extend the wires from the back of the motor..
 
i'm walking a FINE line between what i NEED and what i WANT. i'm just creating a check list of what i have and what i NEED. all i want is a reliable daily driver. as cheap as possible.... what do i NEED
 
obd0 intake
91 si harness
motor mounts
shift linkage or custom fab the two together, I have only done this once not to easy to get right
hydro to cable conversion or cable trans
use the 97 ls throttle cable
extend a few plugs
I got a obd0 pr4 ecu I will sell cheap
axles or custom make your own..
 
90 or 97 throttle body???
i heard i could use my axles if i removed the dust covers...??? reliable???
if i use a pr4 ecu, will i need the OBD0 to OBD1 ECU conversion harness??? and don't you have to have that ECU chipped???
 
good luck with the swap though, after you do this one you will realise it was really easy and want somthing more powerfull and bigger lol

thanks for your boost of confidence shithead, but im asking pretty specific questions about this swap and what all can be salvaged. u can't answer the question but you can reply with bullshit nonsense... and i have searched. for the past year. and most people roll with the B18A swap into an EF, NOT B18B.

B18b into an ef is just as simple of a swap lol, only diff between the engines is in the head
