the sound is just absolutely monstrous. i love it.

The cool part of the sound is in the intake- just wait until the exhaust is run properly so the farting is gone and we really rev it out.

whats it revving to?? sounds like its blowing through the gears. wonder what it would do with some spray? or a meth kit with lots of ignition.

5000 only right now- ECU is in limp mode. We have the right information to wire it up correctly now, so look for more in the near future with a proper redline.

looks OEM :)

That's the goal. :D

Sound kinda reminds me of an older Porsche.

Hmm. Must research. Guess it's a good thing though. :)

Not digging the rasp almost reminds me of an old toyota truck with half its exhaust hanging off.

Nice clean swap!

IT'S ALIVE! Again...

Speedometer works, tachometer works, ECU is out of limp mode. Car runs to redline now. Final cleanup to follow, then polish, then we start modding. :D

Pics and videos to come...

My 01 was perfect and it ran me 17k (in 06).

my buddy got his 02 for 13k this year w/ about 30k miles on it.. old couple owned it before and needed money.. its funny because the old man had an AEM intake, DC header and some springs on it.

Cant wait to see it run at its full potential and then some..

Give us some time. Hopefully I can shoot some good footage this weekend.

Nice. I'm going to be one of those "old men" with mods on his car though. Kinda already getting there...

where the hell did you come from? lol welcome back
Haha, been trying to live life... My Hondas been sitting in the garage for the past few years - it will make an awesome return to the track this year. Been driving my GTI in the meantime... I will try tO be back on here more as I get time.
Nope, alive and finally making a decent living, lol!
We're getting close... more pictures and video tonight. The drivetrain is now in another car. Didn't make Wekfest yesterday though. :(

Weight, less than 100 pounds gained. And yup, still the S2000 transmission. That's the most economical solution. Time will tell how it handles the extra torque- but lots of turbo guys use the stock transmission without any problems. The main difference is usually frequent track use vs street only cars.

And hi!

:D good to see you are still alive and well too, Mike! Looks like you have been treating Texas well. As for the S2000, 100lbs is a bit, but at least it counts for something pretty substantial in this case. Lose a bit of unsprung mass and you should be good :) How is the weight distribution with that motor? It looks like it is sitting back a bit further than the stock motor. Curious how the handling is going to change with the extra weight and gobs of torque - should be lots of fun.

Haha, I too will be an old man with mods - not feeling old yet though. :)

Nah, 100 pounds isn't THAT much in that car. Add a turbo system and you'll be pretty close to that weight alone between the turbo, manifolds, intercooler and piping.

First video had prelim numbers- will get better ones soon!
