Get yourself a pellet stove. It's saved me soooo much money over using oil (and i have 3 zones as well). 3500 investment saves me about 2500 a year in oil heating costs. I heat 90% of my home for about $800-900 in pellets a year, and a couple hundred in oil. Mostly because of hot water use. An electric hot water heater is a planned upgrade for me to take my dependence off oil even more.
Plus, i'm supporting a local business, and not terrorist produced oil... and it's considered a carbon-neutral product.
And that's on top of 'sitting around the fire' apsect. Super safe. Works on a thermostat, and the bags store pretty easily.
look into it for next winter after you're setteled in.

Try the unfinished furniture store in Manchester. Do a little sanding, painting or staining and you got better quality for a little more than Sauder stuff.

Congrats on the house.

just looked at the website, they don't have prices on anything but i emailed them, good call

I forgot that there are 2 of them. I like the Mill Store next to Allstars better than the Pinewood one kind of near down town.

Scott,

Thank You for your recent inquiry. They come in many sizes, prices will range from $750.00 to $1300.00 unfinished. There are no cheap corners for a 50'' T.V.

Hang it on the wall for $200, Alex.

It's an option, it's either that or Sauder....it's a 51" ..I'd like it to go over the fireplace, not sure if that is to high for watching tv, or i could corner mount it i guess where the stand is

it's too high. I was going to do the same and just sat in my couch looking at the mirror i have above the mantle piece for like 10 min. it quickly got annoying. Felt i had to tilt my head back to far to see anything. I'm glad the tv is on a stand in the corner. Didn't have to run wires either. lord knows how good i am at that. lol

I have my 55" on the wall above my fireplace. I love it there. Its angled downward.

I also have my 42" on a swivel in my other living room.

I have a 47 above our fireplace but we have high ceilings and 3 couches in our living room so it makes sense for a good viewing angle. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Think sports bar.

i've watched both, and my thought still stands. it hurts my neck. the 42 is worse because its crooked (not straight to the couch). so you're up and to the right. long term, i know it's not for me.

your results may vary, of course.

Because it just is. If you don't understand then you are the kind of person who would put a tv above your fireplace lol

i was going to put mine on the fireplace mantle but the OL wasn't having it
would have really ruined the floor to ceiling rock fireplace i've got going on
