So I actually did wind up selling my BMW. After pulling the ads and stuff, a scraggler came along and made me the offer - so I went with it. Just had him take over payments.

Then I went back to CT to get my Tahoe and after an oil change, new radiator, heater core, hoses, belts, and an assundry of other pipes and stuffs - Drove it for 10 minutes and the block cracked. Or was cracked. Either way, the block is cracked.

So that left me with no car and no re-coop of costs. And stuck in CT for a week. So I think I'm gonna do this trade. We talked on the phone, all seems go. I'm trading him my Snapon 60 toolchest for the truck.

Apparently this has a new frame, control arm 3" drop and blocks in back. Pretty good motor, recent transplants on it and the trans. Plan to rattle can it black.

So yeah, I went from a beautiful BMW 325 to ... this. in like 3 weeks. So needless to say, my plans haven't been working out too well.

But I'm looking forward to it for awhile. Minitruckin'. Maybe a nice airbrush on the hood (Of Sarah Palin in a bikini with a mexican flag waving in the background), and I might be able to source my 1980s SCC bits from Dilbeck. Some baby sidewinkers, a Kamenari kit, some deep dish rimz. Oh and a corvette valance pan. And then I'll tilt the licence plate frame to side - like I just don't care.

I have always wanted a first gen s10 to do a v8 swap on. Tough to find a decent one.

My advice would be to get the thing running and concentrate on supporting your pregnant wife. Cars can wait.

This thing isn't quite what I need either. But it gets me out of a bad spot.

I have a 302 hanging around if you wanna buy it when I'm done with it :)

Agreed. Leave it as is and keep it running. In near stock form they are cheap as hell to maintain. And at the end of the day, it's just an S10. Do you really want it to be more than an A to B?

hell you could probably pick up a whole tahoe for like 200!

There are literally millions of those Tahoe engines around. I'm thinking $500 for a good long block.

Go to car-part.com and type in your info, there are a bunch of blocks available. I did a search but I couldn't get the link to work in here.

The only reason I'm freaking out, and just getting "something" is because I have "nothing".

So I need SOMETHING so I can continue working on the Tahoe. Also, I won't have any free time to do the engine work for the next 4 weeks at least. Then I'm pretty sure that something is going to come up.

And I didn't even have time for my Cobra. So all I'm doing here is piling up cars that would be perfect "If not for this one thing" and I'm getting nowhere.

I'll continue working something out with the Tahoe - but I have no more money to throw at it until my clients start fuckin paying me and I need someone else to do the work.

As far as buying another in this shape (Body and interior, transmission, driveline, support mechanics such as brakes and shocks) is going to run me $3000 if I'm lucky. Trust me, I started looking at others.. It ain't gonna work out.
