So yea title says it all. What do you wish your car did inside that is feasible.

Example: Im working on a computer controlled climate system for my 98 ek.

Example: below 32* and rear window covered (light sensor) rear defrost turns on when starting

Example: Auto start, key-less entry

What else does everyone think. Im trying to make a list of newer technology for the eks that i can build and share.

For all those who are wondering why, Why not! same reason its on its way to being a b20 vtec AWD sedan. Lets get ideas flowing. even minor changes are welcome.

Everything matters!!!!!

What's your platform ? How long have you been doing this ? What's your portfolio looking like ?

I'm not asking these to try to crush you - I'm really interested.

Also, if you want to know just about everything a car should do - Look at the BMW. Only thing that irritated me is that it detected rain - but it wouldn't automatically close it's sunroof and windows. Stupid, in my opinion.

But I'm interested in what you're using for logic control, if you were in for a second project, or what the future holds.

auto sensor wipers (adjust delay based on how wet and/or how fast you are going)
roll up windows with key fob
blind spot mirror indicators

I wish my car went, looked, and handled like a Ferrari, could tow 10000lb, be as reliable as a Civic, and get 40mpg

roll up windows with key fob
I assume you have the roll down feature? When I work at Infiniti I never got why you could roll them down but not up.

What would I like my car to do?
More key fob functions.
-Windows up and down.
-Unlock the door while it's in my pocket along with a push button start.
-Wish my auto starter would actually work when its cold.

That's all I got for now.

my car does neither up or down.
the M did up with the key in the door plus hold the turn to lock position. That was also 10 years ago (2004 model)

forget BMW, you wanna see nifty shit to put in cars, look at mercedes.

but, a lot of new cars the car will automatically unlock once the fob enters a certain proximity.

i really REALLY want a tesla sedan. holy shit those things are awesome.
once you get into range of the car, the handles extend out. when you walk away, the doors lock and the handles become flush with the doors. no way to open them.
but, you open the door when you walk up, and as soon as the key fob enters the car, everything turns on. then you just select drive and go. love it. there are no buttons on the fob though, only a smooth piece of plastic. not sure what you are supposed to do if the battery goes dead though, lol.

I always thought it was cool when all the gauges in the cluster on some cars maxed out, went back down and then showed the readings when you started the car.

my boss just got a tesla S

it rides nice.
it's decently fast.

the tv (yes, there's like a fucking 30" tv in the center colsole) is fucking annoying. I could never drive with that thing there. The instant 'pandora' like music look up is cool shit though.

that thing is absolutely huge, but its very nicely done.
i think that car has one of the nicest interiors i have ever been in.
at the moment, its my realistic dream car.

my buddies '12 M3 has that(not the extending door handles)... keeps his key in his pocket all the time.. doesnt even need to stick the key in the ignition.. just hits the start engine button because it senses the key in his pocket.. its pretty rad

mazdas have had that since about 07-08.

they have a credit card key that just stays in your wallet, and you can choose the distance that the car locks/unlocks. inside the card is a hard key in case it goes dead.

the tech and ultimate package velosters do the proximity thing where the car unlocks and all the lights turn on as you approach. push button keyless start, too.

Yea same as my dads 09 challenger but its a fob not a card

my genesis is all proxy key as well... still need to tap the button on the door handle to unlock it and no mirror movement stuff or lights though but my keys never leave my pocket.
