why so much rust on that bolt already? please tell me its been used on a previous car.

we made a tire tail! it is almost 100%. Need a pair of 6 inch delrin insulators on the inside to keep the wheel face from getting scratched and make a license plate bracket. and i'll strap it back to the hitch after for stability.

those things always scare me. The weight and leverage just screams SNAP OFF AND LOSE MY WHEELS!!!!!!!!!!

the whole setup weights about 70lbs with both tires on. the tongue weight is 100lbs so with the angle it is close to max. it should be OK.

here are some photos of it "loaded up" it has about 4 inches of ground clearance and it will possibly be a little lower with the coils on. maybe change the angle to about 20 degrees right out of the hitch and have to make a plate holder. it also needs some insulated spacers i dont want to scratch the wheel face. also thinking of wrapping it in black pipe insulation (more so i dont scratch anything i accidentally whack it with while moving it around) .

the wheels will strap under the hatch lid into the spare tire area using an eye bolt.

Car looks good in a weird sort of way. It appears your plate is obscured from view with the tires on the back.

Also, that kid is way too big for training wheels. lol.

thanks! we're going to be making a bracket on monday to put the plate on the tires.

and shes 6. that was her 2nd bike ride lol. unfortunately the bike was given to her at xmas, and shes outgrown it already (about an inch a month) .

so i installed the k-sport coilovers. these were the front.

thanks to the trailer hitch, the rear was easy to raise and lower. i put the spring perches up on 2 4x4s so i could easily put the tires on and off to test the suspension at full droop.

unfortunately the revised whiteline bar does not fit with the fatter, k-sport shocks. may end up drilling new holes about 3/4 inch closer in if possible. or selling for a pierce bar.

i had foamed the front inside of the carbon hood so we could properly latch it since it was so thin. going to install aerocatch pins soon. but its on for good now. will be adjusting it tomorrow to pull it forward a bit.

Rather, you do want your last words to be "Hold my beer"

it doesnt look like the cars weight is being supported by the wood. rather, just the lower spring perch is resting on it.

looks like the car is supported by the jack (still a no-no)

guys, i didnt even have to get under the car.

everything has been nice and tight. got on a level patch of concrete and the car is levelled left to right. the rear is a little higher than the front so when the car has luggage or racing gear on it it wont be bottoming out.

kicked off the first event of the season at LAZ! raceraceracerace

car did OK. it was mostly me who was bleh. coolant tank pissed all over the engine bay because the overflow well... dumps right into the engine bay. scuffed up the passenger side between the doors when i spun out one of the many times. will buff out. lastly, front end was not stiff enough to save the fender from getting pulled a bit with the slickies! will turn the damping up a few clicks when i get a chance.

i placed 2nd in DSP out of 4. my pro co-driver buddy was bumped from FSP to DSP in his N/T protege and took first by .9 seconds. he's super good. once i get the car dialed in, i should be in the top 20% of the day. the car is a bit of a handful to control so far!

now for the photgraphies.
