Are you worried about removing the "chute" from the IC, as far as getting the getting the correct air flow over things? It seems it may help focus the flow of air better?

Everyone removes the chute for better IATs eventually. Mine had more stuck in it besides what was shown. Eventually it blocks half the intercooler.

the little sprayer thingy has been working stellar! tested filling it with ice to the top THEN filling it with water seems to work the best, i get a few degrees out of it in the sun after about 20 seconds. not really significant gains, but it could make all the difference before a run.

i haven't had much time to do anything but drive the car. i broke 10k exactly 6 months the day i bought the car. i thought it was 6 month and a few days, but what tipped me off is when corp called asking me if i wanted to extend my warranty as it was 6 months since purchase.




i have jarrod working on the intake, i finally picked up a filter and the reducer i needed.

so in the meantime i wanted to take the door panels off to tighten up the screws and bolts, while i was in there i stuck some duct insulation to the doors. dynamat/fatmat kinda sucks to work with and can make your hands a real mess. this is a very thin sticky foam and it fit the bill perfectly ($15) as well as went on easy and clean. i used my scraps to fill in the spots where i couldnt just lay down a big piece. pretty much all rattles are gone (except for glove box but i'll deal with that with rubber stoppers)

Dealer changed my oil last week and this past Sunday we went racing at mohegan sun!







now the dealer told me while i was there that my tires were at 1mm. great. i've had these tires on the back since april. so in 4 months (nearly 2 since i've had the tires off) found this debacle with my drivers side rear tire.



now look at the passenger side. still a few thousand (or until snow season) left.



and my slicks are starting to look pretty rough around the edges with a little bit of cording.


anyways i won DSP 2nd place was a beat up audi TT quattro had him by over a second. 14th fastest of the day out of 51 entrants.

and ive been playing with harry's lap timer now that i have a great mount in the car, but as you can see i havent quite configured the gps properly. when i get close to the start gate, it stopped. maybe it will work better next time.

Is there a market for a 3d printed mount in that car?

well this one was like $15 and recommended by miata owners so i'm not sure.

so i havent been updating anything since i can't hotlink photos anymore. finished up the racing season pretty well and ran an event with ADSI/masstuning that was a complete shit show. i'll finally get a good season next year. becoming a member with CART again so i can get my jacket lol

This year I have determined i will be running BFG R1S for autocross in 225/45r17 and BFG TA KDW2 in 215/40r17 for summer and light track use tires. this will be my first time with brand new slicks and really nice summer tires. i'm super stoked for this racing season.

Or maybe the direzza ZII what do you guys think?
