Ello - fb killer?

mainly, we decided that we didnt want our kids growing up online. if they should choose to post the stuff later on, thats their choice. but, i like knowing that our pics are limited to our household. and have been surprised at how many people have respected it and not posted their own pictures.

but, even so, i sometimes get annoyed with how much people post online. there is no thought given to future embarrassment or just plain crude things they post. i dont think people truly accept that once something is online, its there for good. then there are the vast amounts of pictures that are just plain inappropriate that people post like its nothing. im no conservative by any stretch of imagination, but i find myself shocked quite often at what people allow their young kids to wear in public, and post pictures of all over the internet (fb, blogs, tumblr, pinterest, etc.)

but, if any of our families want to see pictures of her, we can send them directly to them. or they are more than welcome to call and set up a day to come see them. we do have the ability seeing that most of our family lives relatively close by, but really its just like living in another state with us. we never see most of them. and phone calls are never made. and for the most part, im ok with that. with my family, distance is good.

why do you say that? I use it mostly for posting pics of my kids so relatives can see them. I don't get everyones hate with kids on FB feeds. Do people really not like kids that much? I guess actually being a parent changes your perspective in that matter.. I just can't relate...

That's exactly what it is. You ever see people who post a million pictures of their cats? Nobody gives a shit about your cat. Nobody gives a shit about your dog. It just makes sense if you are on the same level as that person. This is why you (users) need to have more "friends" that are closer instead of a million acquaintances. Then they wouldn't get annoyed by their pictures.

Unfortunately, most people use facebook to make themselves feel better. AKA, the humble brag.

I'm all for having an 'album' of like your kids bday party, that you share with your family/etc. But it shouldn't be your status every 3 hours.

It's not that we hate kids. It's just, your kid covered in birthday cake is NOT cute, and it wasn't yesterday, or the day before when he had oatmeal all over him either.

A kid covered in cake IS FUCKING CUTE ASSHOLE!

Ain't nobody got time for that shit! Post it on FB let others come to you to see it.

The only thing that annoys me on FB are the political extremists; on both sides.

YOUR kid covered in cake is cute to YOU.

Just like a puppy tearing up your favorite shoe. To you, it might be funny. To most people, they would try to sell the dog to the closest Korean bbq.

Seeing B's ugly mug on my FB is NOT cute either. I put up with that shit without bitching! :)

but that is only once in a while. we are only bitching about the people who post 5134514351345. Seeing little johnny pee on the cheerio isn't cute. There is sharing, then there is "facebook sharing".

What annoys me is the ugly baby pictures. Someone post up a picture of their not so good looking baby and within minutes they have 15 comments about how adorable and cute the baby is because its what people feel they need to say. So in turn the parents post more ugly baby pictures because they need the confirmation that their baby isn't as ugly as they think it is. It's a cycle.

The good looking babies get posted less often and get less comments when they do get posted.

I always think of a woman with a NY accent. You gotta come see the baaaby.

Its just misplaced resentment from the game requests. You know, games are for kids, requests get annoying, therefore kids on fb is annoying. Im sure you can see the link now.
