Well I finally found a good replacement for the pickup truck. Found a really nice Trailblazer just around the corner from work. I'll take some pics when I clean up the outside.

got 2k for my truck
got the trailblazer for $2500. All service records recorded, MINT condition leather (LTZ model) 2wd and never used for towing.
Brand new tires. Other than a little sap and one little ding the exterior paint is immaculate since it was always in the garage...until they put it up for sale of course. Her new car stays in the garage. lol.

I'm happy :) Keep the same mpg's, bass machine, kid hauler if ever happens, road trip worthy, etc. Really happy with the deal

Those are pretty solid rigs. I think they have a straight 5 right?

My intern has one with like 270k on the clock. Runs like a champ. She takes it over the mountains every other week.

4.2 inline 6

I was telling taco earlier, my Trailblazer has been the best buy of any car I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of cars.

Trailblazer has an issue with the filler hose on the gas tank, GM should have replaced for free, it causes gas pumps to stop pumping as if the tank is full even though the tank isn't full, GM has redesigned the fill hose a few times.

In the salt belt, the transmission cooling lines can fail, other GM models have the brake lines fail also, thankfully the trailblazer has rubber coated brake lines.

The Transmission used in the Trailblazer is also used in the avalanche as with other full size chevy SUV/Trucks. coming from a friend who has been building GM transmissions as a GM employee, the transmissions are glass, smaller SUVs normally don't have issues, however start towing or if you have one of the bigger GM SUVs chances are at 120K miles you'll be replacing the transmission. If you ever plan on towing, make sure you upgrade the transmission cooler and change the fluid often.

Long weekend! but after 2 days of messing with it I'm happy so far. I just have to finish the small areas between trim and have to shampoo interior. looks clean but there is still dog hair and the smell. :/

big thanks to my friend James for hooking me up with the detail job outside. He is big into and was finally able to fully use all of his stuff he got from chemical guys.com. he'll be ordering a bigger and stronger pad to get down to the scratches on the hood. I say leave it since it looks waaaaay better and can't even tell unless you really look for them but he's a perfectionist and is confident they will all come out and be smooth again.

Cliff notes ; cleaned truck
installed : DD coax 6.5's, extra Memphis tweeter up front
- Memphis MC5.1400 hybrid amplifier
- 2 10'' Memphis C3 subwoofers
- Double din radio
super happy to be cruising around in a car I don't feel like I'm having to justify why I'm driving it. lol

lol. You're right. the audio show and dmv are about a mile apart and a mile from my house. I passed the dmv, saw a few people outside before opening and said f' it. so off to the shop I went. :)

I did insure it the next day though! :p

I haven't really done the math just yet but it doesn't seem be getting as good mpg's as my truck. it runs awesome and doesn't skip at all. I'll check the plugs to see how they look.

maybe it's a different tank size :shrug2:
maybe it's just me but i'll check it next time I fill up.

Prolly a smaller tank than the 26 your truck prolly had. Trailblazers dont get great gas mileage.

That thing cleaned up good.

Prolly. I burned through 1/4 tank and traveled 60 miles. lol. I'm gonna have to do a tuneup and see what's up.
