Wasup guys I'm new to this forum and I was just wondering what the effects Or sounds of having bent valves would I lose compression ? and 2ndly if theirs a bad head gasket does it necessarily have to smoke ? Reason why I ask is because I'm getting 55 pounds of compression on cylinder one and the rest 120+ just installed new distributor with cap and rotor if that helps any. Thanks for your help.

my d15 started running rough out of no where and i thought it was a fuel issue. come to find out it was a bad ring and two blown valves.
it was sputtering at low RPMs and had no real power. also terrible gas mileage. not sure if this helps..

Was your vehicle smoking?? My car runs fine just doesn't have power as it should only cylinder one is low on presure, reading in at 55 I'm thinking it might be the head gasket or the 4 valves. How did you know your valves were out was it ticking ?

smoking very little but i did put seafoam in so i cant be sure

Mine started doing the same thing, only it would pop if you gave it any gas. I went through and pulled plug wires one at a time till the popping stopped and drove the crap out of it on three cylinders for another year before it finally crapped out on me, I just pulled it out and am gonna break it down to see what happened with it
