Exhaust flange is a little fubar, need ideas

So my mid pipe rusted through. No biggie. Pulled off the old one and the flange on the cat looks like this. Dont want to replace the cat or have a shop half ass a new flange on it.

I was thinking bolt it up then kind of wrap it with safety wire to keep it secure. Think that will work? Any other ideas?

would probably be fine with big washers on it.

they make flange repair kits that you can put on behind the FUBAR'd one to reinforce it

Nice! Guess I'll see what the parts stores carry tomorrow. Need all new hardware anyway.
