GM Brand recognition is easy. I see em alongside the road.

Like Mercedes and their constantly faulty tailights.

I don't know what to believe when I see a vehicle along side the road anymore. I saw a CB7 on the side of the road the other day. Only reasonable explanation is the driver died or ran out of gas.

7 speed manual would be too much, I feel. I drove my gf's stepdad's 2012 Civic Si the other day, and was cruising along country roads, went around a curve clutched in went to neutral then, for the first time in my life, went uhhhhhh.... now what..... where was I?.... Uhhhh 4th?.... yup, that's where I came from, going to 5th, theeeeeeere we goooooo.

and beamers with turn signals that never work

We just don't use signals.

What you could say is "BMWs with computers that suddenly fail and leave you alongside the road on the phone with the dealer telling you "Sure, that's a known issue. It's going to cost you $3500""

Oh no, you're right. Since driving this thing I just reel people in on the left lane and flash my lights like a crack addict. If they don't respond, I just jump in the other lane, then right in front of them.

I'm horrible. And I replaced my fogs with 100 watt spot lights and drive with them on in clear weather.

I do this while my ipod flips between Enigma and DMX.

yep, pretty bad ass.

still, if i had 80 grand, i wouldn't be buying a vette with it.

a 2 year old gtr is in that price range. a 3 or 4 year old 911 turbo / gt3 is in that price range... there's options in the lightly used segment

Isn't the GTR driving experience supposed to be not as fun?

Personally I'm all about the Porsche, but you can't get anywhere near those new car prices with similar performance.

Everything I've read has said it's the most amazing car for under $200k, but would be a terrible option for a dd. so i guess you have to take it for what it's worth.

It's always been undoubtedly the fastest track ready car under 200k since it came out. Definitely a godzilla. I forget where I read it but I thought the driver didn't get much feedback.

As far as DD goes, I guess the old suspension was stiff and followed every little crease in the road. (Sided a guy's house that had one, and drove his R8 daily over it because of it). Supposedly they fixed that in this years model.

The GTR is fast as fuck, but the computer does most of the driving and feedback is a bit nill.

the 911 is a pure drivers car, unless your name is clarkson.
the vete is also fast as fuck, but no one cares. Most people won't look twice at a vette or a 911. If they do, it's to see how old the guy driving it is, or how much of a popped collar douche he is. There's no prestige with them.

Show up in http://www.jamesedition.com/cars/fe...d-fully-loaded-ready-to-drive-for-sale-814073 or http://www.jamesedition.com/cars/ferrari/f430/2008-430-challenge-for-sale-694075 and people will look, even if it's slower. Face it- it's still fucking fast.

for some people, it's not about being noticed and frankly, they would rather be under the radar. Me, if i'm going to spend that kind of money for a street car, I want to have something that 'common' people will notice, look up at it as i drive by, because they didn't just see 4 of them on their way to the market. something that a guy next to me at a pump would say, wow, what is that? or nice car man! not 'oh, just another vette'.

$80k is Dodge Hellcat money. I'd love to have one, but can't justify the cost.
