Here's a little peek at the mounts not finished with the trans mount but this was a stopping point for a little bit. I decided to just completely cut out the stock driver's mount, it gave me another 1/8-1/4 inch of clearance for the crank pulley which is a lot for this particular swap. I'll take some more pictures as I finish the trans mount. Also I'm going to close the driver's side mount in with some sheet metal to make it look a little more decent.

Here's a look at the trans mount and bracket basically done. I just have to get the engine back in and lined up to drill the holes in the bracket.

Cool Build. Should be plenty of fun to drive.

How much room for the radiator, intercooler, turbo, turbo manifold, and piping are you seeing? I was guessing it's a tight fit even with a log manifold.

There's not a whole lot of room for the turbo set up but I might be able to squeeze it in there. There's plenty of room for the radiator though. The CVCC version of this car has a longer engine bay by about 100mm but they didn't come out until 1975.

I'll update very soon, I've been extremely busy on top of being out of town for the past week.

I've had a lot of stuff going on in life that has prevented me from actually working on the 73, although I'm in the position to start working on it once again. I've completely stripped it down and it's in bad shape. I've got sections that I have to cut out of the floor pan and firewall that are just rusted out. The brake lines just fell apart in my hands taking them out. I'm going to tube out the front end to give me some more clearance for the D series Engine I've got for it. I've also gotta fabricate mounts for a newer style suspension since parts are even harder to find now than they were when I first got the car and when you can find them, the prices are outrageous. It's a big mess, but I can't get rid of the car, it needs to run again.

lol bro you dont have to tube the front end for clearence single cam dseries fit soooo easy in there , even my dohc zc fits without firewall trimming in my civic 1200 , but I know how these cars are man mines been the same on the backburner and stripped down

It's not just for clearance. I'm tubing it for the custom suspension as well. Just fyi the 1200 versions head a few more inches in length which is why you don't have clearance issues.

incorrect AF , the 1500 chassis was longer engine bay than the 1200... I mean 1.5 vs 1.2 lol

I knew there was one that was longer. I couldn't remember exactly which one. Either way is getting tubes for the suspension as well.
