Hey folks, so I recently got my hands on an automatic 89 Accord. This thing is pretty sweet but because of how old she is I'm having trouble finding aftermarket stuff for it. I need a few answers if anyone can help i would appreciate it very much. So, first off.. What motors are able to be straight swapped in this? I wanna do a B18 with a manual transmission conversion but I'm not sure how much custom fabricating (if any) is needed for a swap like that. Any suggestions on motors/trannys? Secondly, where can I find aftermarket parts for the suspension? I want to lower her but not to the point of scraping over every single bump. Help me make this car a dime!

Good luck but there is not much if any aftermarket for that car. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw an Accord from that generation.

You could get a A20A3 block or a B20 block depending on the model subclass. If you want it to go faster that is. Aftermarket for that year are legendary hard to find. Check a junkyard first. B18 will require custom mounts and axles. Again I say A20A3 also please look online before posting on the forum before you get flamed.

The only place I know that sells suspension pieces aftermarket is Cheddars auto.com
