He said I have all the sales qualifications they would like. but then again so do many others. The difference is many sales people as successful as they may be know nothing about cars. many don't know the different in fuels, why choose a specific injector size for E85, etc. So i was happy my hobby has caught up to me and helped me possibly land a professional career WITH fast cars and a solid company at the same time

Other shop called me back too and while it's not exactly what I had asked for he was flexible and offered me a way to get my first month gaurantee and comission starting immediately afterwards. So that's my backup. If that fails then I guess I'll be selling some Subaru's again. local dealer offered me a position if i don't find anything.

I miss the days of one interview with one person. Me and most of my friends over the last two years have gone through at least 3 rounds and at least 3 total hours of interviewing. I had 3 rounds just for an internship. My friends at Amazon have had single day interviews, after the first two rounds, that lasted 7 hours of a day.

we do
initial recruit- quick phone call or email
30 min phone screen with project lead/direct reporting manager of the position
if he is interested, he tells hr to bring them in for
f2f, 3 30 min-1hr blocks. tech screen usually with the phone interviewer, dept director to talk about the company, hr rep to talk benes and stuff
