I'm planning on saving up for a GSR swap.

In the meantime my poor tired engine is going through a ridiculous amount of oil. Mostly not from bad seals.

So, do you all reckon that it is cheaper and more efficient to try to replace the rings and whatever else I find or just buy oil by the barrel until I'm ready for the swap. I'm hoping to get everything together for the swap by spring/summer 2017.

Id say just find a block. z6 are cheap. Probably $100 on cl or a junk yard. Rebuild will cost you more and needs to be done right with hone and ring seat etc...

That is an option I hadn't considered. I will look. I'm sure to find one with 25% the miles that will curtail my oil use by at least 100 bucks too.

Thanks
