84 accord hatch transmission problems

Just picked up the car yesterday in a trade. It starts right up and is a 5 speed. Now I was able to drive it home but it was stuck in 4th gear so was extremely crappy take off.but I managed to get it home with no problems. For now I just want to know if I should look into what's wrong with the tranny (what could it be?) Or should I just try to find a new/used tranny? If so what other honda will I find a tranny in?

Bad synchronizers? Bad clutch? Bad shift linkage?

Yeah you should be able to tell which one it is based on how it feels and then you can go from there. Might be as simple as replacing the clutch or it may need a new transmission/rebuild. Cool find though, any pictures?

Lol 84 ? Prob needs shift bushings , sure the clutch cable is prob stretched , no way to tell without inspecting it
