dohc zc today for $350 needs rings, going to put high compression pistons and rods in it and use it as my swap candidate for the 79 :D first person on this coast doing a dual cam zc swap in a first gen civic, still going to run the same motorcycle carb setup

I picked up the swap stuff today, and made out like a bandit ! The engine is literally ready for pistons and rods and reassemble , cylinders are honed and cross hatched to stock bore, polished crank, block decked and head shaved, even came with the ecu and all the timing covers, a brand new dizzy and msd wires and a engine gasket kit , more to come

you will need to redo the intake manifold as the SOHC intake won't bolt onto the DOHC ZC head

I was thinking correct me if im wrong but I need to be running a vac advance distributor with a carb setup ?

Also very soon im taking the head to a customer if mine that builds group a n2 spec toyota engines to have him clean up the port job and polish everything, also port matching the intake and cutting it for carbs and porting while there

you do need some way to control the ignition timing - we tried using the 86-87 Integra D16A1 vacuum advance distributor but it didn't work very well - couldn't get enough advance
