So im in the process of ripping out my old d15y8 minime setup and dropping in a b16a2. My car is a 91 dx. I recently got this car back after a year of being apart from it. The original obd0, dpfi harness has been butchered. I traced down some wires and replaced what i could figure out with plugs off a complete da9 harness i got for 5 bucks. There arent any injector wires in the harness anymore, not even the dpfi ones. I got really confused with this harness because it looks nothing like it should and i know theres still wires missing here and there that go to god knows what. Anyway, ive got this obd0 si harness thats complete, all original, not cut in any way. Now i know you cant just plug and play with an si harness because... well its an si harness and they were wired differently. SO, how do i go about repinning the plugs for this to where it will work? I know the easiest thing to do would be use the old harness and tie in the 4 injector wires blah blah blah. In this case, my old harness is junk and i happen to have an si harness laying around thats perfectly able to do the job when wired right. Dont preach to me that i should buy another dpfi harness and start over when ive got a perfectly fine harness in my hands right now. Is there any step by step thread somewhere for this that ive overlooked, because i cant find one anywhere. Probably because all i see in threads on difficult subjects like this tend to tell the person to buy the easier way out. And i dont want to spend even more money on something i dont need, So if anyone could please help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dont cut up a si harness superrr rare and hard to come by these days, id even buy it and need it in my swap to go pgmfi , anyrate a there are companies out now that make a dpfi to mpfi conversion harness that is complete done engine harness out of the box or go to a junkyard and score another dx harness and make a mpfi harness with it and your da harness, and just google dpfi to mpfi conversion covered countless times

Like.. i get what youre saying and i appreciate it, but ive already checked into premade harnesses and theyre a butt load of money, on top of the core that they require. Rywire is thenmost reputable one from what ive read and theyre overpriced imo. However, the quality is good. A friend of mine gave me this harness after i searched and searched for months trying to find one. He had one all along that he forgot about. I found some locally and they went for $200- $300 uncut. Online is not much better from what ive seen. And as far as junkyards go.... yeah definitely no luck whatsoever there. Theres only 3 decent ones within 300+/- miles radius of me and ive hit them all. I was super lucky to find the da9 harness, but someone clipped the injector wires out. Other than that its complete from what i can tell. I got the intake manifold and cable tranny out of it for this swap too. Not to mention some other goodies like gsr confettis. Anyway, idk what im going to do. Ill see if i can make sense of this dpfi harness. I dont really know whats missing though. Thanks for the help

Damn dx/ex ef civics and da tegs are a dime a dozen here in junkyards, you can get a conversion harness shipped $240 soo worth it

That DA9 Intake wont fit you EM1 longblock..
Take your harness all the way down to just wires and just cut and solder new ones in as needed and use the pin out to ID what wire goes where.
Simple really, just time consuming.Due to a bad harness experience, EVERY swap I now do, I tear all the looming and tape off.
Use a multimeter to check continuity of existing wires. I then mock it up to my complete swap engine and begin extending wires.
Since you will be running extra wires for the o2 sensor, injectors, distributor, I recommend running all these wires into your harness and using a male and female engine bay harness plug from a parts civic/teggy.
One end you wire to the ecu, the other is in your harness, now you can tape it all up and loom it, and have a flawless OEM looking and functioning harness. I can Upload pics upon request
