Yes I remember reading many of Katman's write ups and instructions. His thread on 15x8's on EG's is what sold me on my rim choice. Plus ffsquad.com taught me plenty. He races down in socal. It'd be cool to meet him in person

For anyone still following the red beer can.... its a slow process but I'm getting there. Lately, my free time has been not used on the car.

My RTA Bushings were fine....yeah, right.

Rear End is almost done. All Bushings are in, new coilovers, new hardrace camber kits, new LCA's and new Goodridge brake lines. Still need brace and sway installed.

Did you replace them with polyurethane bushings? It'll make a huge difference on how it drives and handles changing the worn out bushings - you're going to like it. :)

I bought a complete Hardrace Bushing Kit. All rubber but stiffer than OEM. After my research....I chose their rubber over polyurethane. It will be a nice improvement none the less. All the new parts will make it feel like it's on rails compared to my worn out previous set up.

So how's the car running these days? Did it become a track car, and how is the suspension holding up?

95% done for too long now. I been busy and lazy. I just need to torque down all front suspension, figure out how to deal with extra length from aftermarket stainless brake lines in the front, set my ride height, get it aligned and roll the fenders.

Got some stuff done.....finally. Brakes bled and set it on the ground for the 1st time in a while. Not sure if I'm happy with the rear height. I'm thinking of a little lower. I'm concerned with function.....not looks.

looks great - i would leave the ride height alone until you put some miles on it. it can settle down a bit more.

Thanks guys!

Front end is about 7/16-1/2" higher. I can get on my tilt trailer pretty easy (with a few 2' 2x6s).

I think I found a race shop to do my alignment. They're about 1hr away.

park it on a level surface and get a pic of the rear from the ground showing the rear lower control arms

perfect... just wanted to see the angle of the LCAs, i would not go any lower than that

I'm thinking I'll keep th height where it is. I was only wanting 1/4" lower. With these AMR coilovers, it's a hassle to raise/lower compared to the stereotypical coilover adjusting. I have to lossen bottom collar, disconnect coilover from LCA, adjust height of coilover, reinstall to LCA, and tighten lower collar.

Brand new PPG Dog Box, MFactory LSD, and 4.76 OEM FD. Slightly longer gears than the DC5R transmission.

All new OEM seals, bearings and speed sensor. Synchrotech built it. PPG and MFactory were bought from Drag Cartel. Overall good experience. Now I just need to swap it in my car. Should be doing it this Saturday.

I'm taking a break from the trans swap. Nice and hot today. I take too long to do this stuff lol. All I got left is install the starter, axles (lifting the front suspension up a bit too), fluid, install VSS, and bleed the clutch. Plus something I'm forgetting. But the hard stuff is done.
