Well. Another burnt up ecu.

Something is seriously wrong with ny wiring somewhere.

I'm done screwing with it.


My tuner Dustin owns his own speed shop.

He specializes in electrical.

And he builds motors.

He's a one stop shop.

I'm towing the car to his shop this afternoon.

Time to have a professional help me finish this build.

I make 2 steps forward and then take 10 steps back.

Hopefully by this time next week car will be complete, tuned, and running.

He should be able to take care of it and work out the bugs probably was a wise idea

I don't even want to begin to try and explain all the issues we found.

But basically the harness is a mess. He is going wire by wire and pin by pin and redoing the entire harness. And fixing all my shorts and all wiring issues.

He's giving me grief about my ebay turbo kit.

Thats the other issue.

So hopefully in a couple days it will all be fixed.

Wish me luck guys. And hopefully it doesn't cost me too much but its not going to be cheap thats for sure.

But it will all be fixed right and running right once were done.

lol hate to say I told you so butttttt..... yea lol and yes I would give you grief about the turbo kit also wait I did but its ok they were like quality inspected like 4 times before leaving china right ? lol well at least its getting really close to being tuned and on the street looking forward to seeing it when you get it back

I agree and I conceed. I made a lot of mistakes.

And 1 of my biggest mistakes that I will never make again is trusting someone that apparently doesn't know shit.

I should have never listen to my friend. He led me astray.

I want to apologize to anyone I argued with on any of these posts.

You guys tried to warn me about him and the decisions I was making.

And now its costing me a lot of extra money.

But I can say lesson is learned.

I've got a decision to make.

Either have dustin fabricate everything to make everything I currently have fit.

Or buy a new turbo, manifold, and downpipe from go autoworks. Which would cost me $1300 that is guaranteed to fit properly and work and run properly with a warranty.

Which means building my other motor will have to be put on hold for about 2 months. However its already been sleeved and o ringed


I just have to buy the internals and have dustin put it together.

The funny thing is that $1300 is exactly whats left on the balance for everything needed on my gsr motor I'm building lol.

Life is funny sometimes I swear lol.

What are the odds.

And Dustin said to make everything fit and work and run right with what I already have would probably come out to more than those parts from go autoworks

But I'm going to be at his shop tomorrow anyway. I'm going to talk to him some more.

Plus I have some extra nice parts I got recently for a great deal.

I got a ram horn turbo manifold, turbonetics turbo and turbonetics wastegate and downpipe all come off running car for $250

No shaft play at all in the turbo.

The guy was going to sell everything for $600

But he said since he knew me and I was in to hondas he would hook me up. Come across nice people some times.

But anyways let me know what yall think.

I mean obviously pay the man what he wants and get the quality turbo kit like should have to begin with and resell the ebay kit for a little loss , also I wouldnt be concerned with a different bottom end at the moment ESP if you dont have pistons/rods thats the actual expensive part not the stock block, and I usualllyyyy avoid buying used turbo kits id buy the new one for $1300 soo you have something nice again its probably some cheap shiet thrown together for $600 damn dan do you want to be doing this a 3rd time ? and ramhorn doesnt mean dick its just a style of manifold they have $40 ones on ebay

get part numbers, serial numbers and google them before putting up cash

Its a turbonetics turbo and wastegate they are brand name parts.

I only bought them becuz I got such a good deal in the parts.

I'm going to have dustin check them out and see if we can use them.

If not I will turn around and sell everything for $600 and sell parts off my ebay kit and try to get $1000 for everything and then I woukd be able to buy the nice parts from go autoworks.

Don't worry. I am listening to you guys. These are parts I've had for 3 months. Not like I just bought them.

I agree I should have done that. I will keep that in mind for the future

I just dont see why you would bring up dude wanting you to buy a new kit for $1300 to work right if in the same post you are gonna tell us you just bought another setup for $250... and if you paid $250 99% is stolen , or a chinese rebrand (it happens seriously) , or it needs to be rebuilt (can still have no shaft play), that chance its the real shit though is titts I just hope its a good turbo, also what trim ?

now you need a 3 piece front clip and slicks and a nice intercooler, also what intercooler are you using ?

I will explain the problem.

I am wanting to keep a/c bcuz it gets really really hot in florida.

But in order to keep it dustin will have to fabricate some things to make everything fit.

Will thats costs more money.

And would take away from getting my motor built.

My GSR block as been sleeved. Its on its way back.

And it costs $1200 to pay off the remaining balance for my forged internals.

So I have to makena decision.

Should I finish my motor and get the car running and everything done. Or put the motor on hold fab everything to fit a/c and finish my motor in 3-4 months.

Or fuck the a/c get the motor done get all the issues fixed on the car. And get it running and driving and reliable and add a/c at a later date like 6 - 7 months from now.

So right now thats where I am at.

And I need help making a decision.
