Snow -_-

Here it stands with almost 24k on the clock. I'll be changing the transmission and differential fluids within the next 2k, followed by brake pads and rotors in the next 4-6k.

Ugh. I always told myself I didn't like GTRs and made up reasons to not like them but I can't fight it anymore.

I'm not going to fanboi and say this car is perfect by any means, but you do get a fuck ton of car for your money. You might be able to do better with a used 'Vette, but I'm not 55 years old.. yet.

I would put 80k into an evo build... but thats also the opinion of a 20 year old.

If I had 80k to spend on a car, i'd put an addition on my house and keep driving the genesis :D

That said, i'd take a gtr in a heartbeat.
but i'd also have to drive some other things. the boss has a tesla S p100D with insane mode - it's stupid ridiculous that a 5000 pound sled can boogie like that. but i'm not sure if i'm ready to give up gas yet... and the charging issues make me go meh..... granted, that's a 125k price point which isn't same ball park, but the p90 is in the zone.

the desire for something else is strong, but the old 'get off my lawn' man inside me says keep it till it dies. 103k on genny now, reg maintenance and some warranty replacement door handles... and that's about it. it's been a pretty good car. 150k, i'll get something else. Probably a truck :/ and keep genny for a toy car.
getting old sucks.

i want to have 3243243 more $1500 cars. Xantos is living the life right now. lol

I just don't have space for all of the cars I want. Even though I can afford a Tesla, I don't need it. I'm happy with my $35k truck. A motorcycle would be nice though.

Well Matt is balling out with the '17 WRX as a sweet daily and the 2012 GTR as his "toy" haha, but for the average person i always say invest money in a nice daily and get a cheap fun car to play with.

I toyed with the idea of a cheap, fun toy but to be honest I grew up in a fairly conservative family where almost everyone was too worried about saving money to have fun.

I'm stashing a shit ton of cash, but I've already decided I'm not going to live that way. I could afford the GTR (read: payments and maintenance/mods while living comfortably) and the WRX. So I said "why the fuck not!?"

My younger self agreed with that.
my older self regrets dumping the money i did into cars.
the child inside my older self wants to do it again

now, i get thrills off watching stock markets :X

in a few years, my drip payments on 1 of my holdings might net me a GTR payment :D

I also enjoy the markets.. :D

Just ordered a tail-as-turn kit and some LEDs for the GTR. Should make for a quick, fun project when I go on days off next week.
