ok so i have a 94 eg coupe with a b18b1 swap i just got in a trade..knew it had some problems main problem is seems like the car is in limp mode cause of something?wondering what i should check or try first tried diff ecu acted same.any thoughts?

Check Engine Light on? If so, check the code(s). Limp mode should mean CEL somewhere.

What is the ECU numbers? B18B1 is a P75-Axx but who knows what you have.

Basic sensors hooked up? (O2, TPS, MAP, etc.)

Engine harness should be unmolested but how does it look?

No CEL i have a couple ecu's p75-a51 , and then my old two p28 -a02 and a p06 something..he told me its the engine harnness from the teggy he got the motor from..ides real low..

Any DX/EX/Si 92-95 engine harness will work. May need to lengthen the O2 a little.

Limp mode and no CEL?

Spark plugs/wires and cap/rotor but that ain't the problem.

Check all connections. This is hard to diagnosis.

Idle learn procedure can lift idle. Don't just adjust the screw though. I think it's....
get car to running temp
stop motor
unplug IACV electrical connection
start car (it'll idle real low)
set idle to 450 rpm by adjusting screw on TB
stop motor
connect IACV plug
unplug ECU fuse for 15 seconds and reinstall fuse.
Done. Should idle around 850 or so.

ok o2 not connect didnt have the p75 in its in now pretty sure idling right now.ok still no CEL but i found this one un plug near the left strut wall.dont know what it goes to.and then on top on the intake that doesnt have a vacuum nor anything plug into it everything else seems snug.first time trying work on it.its dark but cool so gladly try anything you tell me as best i can.BTW sweetkswap..

I think the 1st pic plug is the O2......Hard to tell without being under the hood. 2nd pic on top of IM.....that's a weird one to me. Hopefully someone else chimes in. 3rd pic is hard for me too. It looks like something that has a vacuum line.....which makes me think it connects to the IM. The 2nd and 3rd pic make me wonder what I'M and such....I'm stumped by those plugs.

It's weird that stuff is unplugged and no CEL. Does CEL turn on for a moment when key 1st goes to "on" position? Chipped ECU?

map is already plugged in third one is what looks to be the intake air sensor from what ever car they got this wiring harness from

second pic is what im lost on i think that one in first pic goes to that and then finishes my vaccum but i dont have that plug what so ever on my wiring harness...maybe need to change the pic one plug in to what ever is in pic three..

could be i have a 95 with a d15 non vtec 5 speed also should i steal wiring harness from it and hook it up with the b18b1 ecu but still whats the thing on top of my intake manifold?

Your D15 non VTEC harness is perfect to use with the B18B1 swap. You might need to extend the O2 wiring (I did with a D16Z6 harness and a B16Aswap). But it will work just fine.

Take some pics of the entire intake manifold and some around the TB.
