We are about to leave for the dyno.

Wish us luck.

***crosses fingers***

We are at the dyno.

We drove it from jacksonville fla to saint marys ga with no problem.

We are doing precheck for the dyno.

I hope this beats holds together.

Dear Lord Jesus I pray it stays strong and I pray nothing goes wrong!!!

Ya we had a couple snags along the way.

I had a coolant hose blow off.

We replaced the hose and refilled the coolant.

Went back at it again.

So far so good.

We are at the 200whp mark right now.

But now when vtec engages were losing the feed for the spark for some reason. (If I understood them correctly)

We are still here and probably ganna be here into the night.

He is taking his time doing adjustments a little bit at a time. Making sure its right.

We also had issues with hondata accepting the adjustments at one point.

This thing is SUPER LOUD though. It is CRAZY.

Everybody is going to hear me coming down the streey lol....

200 whp something is wrong , im glad the car made it though I promise the bugs will work out soon long as she holds together lol

No its fine.

The graph is just showing spikes and valleys.

He is tuning it for a smooth steady solid tune to the point where the graph is one steady somewhat straight line so to speak.

A couple more pulls and then were going to tune for power.

Its still leaning out a little bit before vtec engagement. But we are getting close now.

I have to buy an oem honda dizzy and cam gears.

And then we will break the 300 mark with no problem.

I have to get adjustable cam gears and an OEM Honda Genuine ob2 vtec dizzy.

Right now my timing is retarded lol.

So once I get those parts we can advance the timing and I should be able to make some where around 350whp.

I already found someone with a b16a2 vtec dizzy for $75 and he also had some used AEM cam gears for $125. Anything I should look out for when checking the parts?

Alright just picked me up a oem genuine honda b16 vtec dizzy and aem adjustable cam gears.

But I have bad news.

My oil feed line started leaking.

I've ordered a new kit.

I am hoping that my turbo is still ok.

I checked for shaft play and any movement. Does have any shaft play and it doesn't wiggle.

And it still spins freely.

So hopefully the turbo is still ok

But I did her a metal noise and lots of thick white smoke coming from middle part of the turbo. Which has me worried.

But I'm not driving it again until I get my new feed line kit.

But yes you were right. Something was wrong.

I eas having ignition issues and we were losing induction everytime we tried to measure spark after vtec engaged.

So I was told that getting an honda genuine b16 vtec dizzy would would resolve the ignition issues. Which I have now

And then I got some adjustable cam gears so we can advance the timing to get more power.

Were ganna go back to the dyno in about 2 weeks and then we will have some real numbers.

i don't understand... the dist is not aware the lobes changed... timing is controlled with the hondata... if you're advancing the distributor old school mechanical style, you're doing it wrong.

if we are advancing timing with the dist or cam gears doing it wrong, set errydamn thing at TDC and adjust manually on the map , IIRC dist can go up to +/- 6 degrees of timing and metal noise and smoke was prob turbo and seals only spinning at like 20k rpm griding oiless hopefully is saveable or back to fleabay turbo

Ya seems like it.

I'm not giving up though. I got an oem honda genuine b16 vtec dizzy and adjustable cam gears

The timing is off becuz of the deck height.

And I've ordered a new oil feed line kit. Should be here in a week. So after I hookup the new line and put the dizzy and cam gears on I'm ganna head back to the dyno.

If the second trip doesn't resolve the issues then I don't know.

don't go back to the dyno until it's running right on the street. your base tune should be enough right now for a smooth run all the way up
