put fuel in it, and can keep it running with starting fluid. gonna change the fuel filter.

Cleaned this nasty car out and vacuumed it. It's so gross! Can't wait to pull the carpet and replace the seats.

Also figured out where this bad boy was.

I wonder how light you could get this thing, thow oe replacement shocks on it with aftermarket wheel/tire combo, throw a cone filter on it and kill the cat and gut the fack out of it and auto x ?

yup thats the fuel filter.

the plan is to replace the rotors and pads and hopefully not the calipers. then find some cheap 14s with good tires and run it :) and fix what breaks.

it only weights about 2250 or so, and ive already pulled some stuff out of it.

Finally some headway! Replaced the filter. Still didn't run. Unplugged the maf, car runs awesome. Gonna grab one and a front seat from the junkyard tomorrow. Fuel gauge doesn't work but I've put 6 or 7 gallons of fuel in it by now. Got the last wheel unseized and drove it around my friends yard a bit lol. No brakes though there is a leak underneath somewhere I think. Still need a good battery. I bought new pads rotors and hardware for 77. Yes. 77 dollars.

keep a running tab amount on each update. always fun to see the low costs

Drivers side front brakes done, pass side needs a new caliper.

Picked up a MAF for 20 at the junkyard. There are 3 different cars there in great shape. I found an updated interior, seats carpet and center console for $100 I'll be going back for it later when the car is on the road.

Tried a few different good batteries. None of them supply any power to the vehicle until I attach jumper cables. Going to check grounds and stuff sometime.

Once I sandwiched the ground strap between the plate and terminal, the car came to life on its own. I'm glad I didn't dig into useless shit and tested the easy stuff. I also have the replacement caliper that will be going on shortly.

Broken brake line between the frame and tank. Yeah just gonna loop the rear brakes at the prop valve for now.

Lastly a broken ABS sensor.

Yesterday I installed the brake line loop and bled the brakes with Ayla. It stops savagely! Put the airbox / maf in and it's good! Installed the new wheels and tires.

Today I'm at the registry getting plates :)

Got it home today. The ride was interesting. The car will need a decent amount of work to pass state inspection, struts / shocks and rear wheel bearings, and better front seat belts at the least. But as of right now it's legal and mobile. The gearing is much lower than I thought, with 2nd topping out at 45ish. That should be decent for autocross at this power level.

Got the front seats at the yard as well as a factory battery tie down and intake tube. Started stripping the interior. Got the carpet and all lower plastics out. It was extremely nasty and I'm not going to run a carpet. Tomorrow I'll bissel up the new seats and leave them out in the sun to dry, wash down the floor and interior that I can and reinstall the seats and take it to the car wash.

Also how about this 140hp 2L that bolts in? Lol

Another 20 extremely bad...ass miles or so in her today. Running like a champ fans on and off and got a wash. Started cleaning up the inside of the car and thinking of wrapping all the interior panels with CF vinyl lol
