Hi All,
Need some info on what sort of cam timing should i set for Toda Spec C's. Before the toda's, i was using Civic Type R cams, with +1 on intake and -2.5 on exhaust. Now I have a pair of Toda Spec C's but don't know what timing i should set. My mods are as follows :-
B18C bottom, B16A head with B16A intake manifold, Apexi ITC, Mugen 4-1 header, Top Fuel air ram and air filter.

Have been doing some searching in the net but to no avail. Please help. Thanks.

only way with those cams is to tune on a dyno. there will be no "magic" setting for those cams

THanks for the reply. But would there be a common setting for these cams, i.e. what sorta range?, is it advance intake, and retard exhaust, etc..... Cheers.

they should've came with some documentation on recomended range.

generally, +2/-1 is a good place to start. but you really should take it to a dyno

How much did you get them for? I knew a JDM importer who had som a while back and he was selling the pair BRAND NEW for $800, I wish i had that money at the time but i didn't.

they work fine on the street .... its all in tuning... ive talked to people who have a stock idle with them

only real thing that hurts their "streetability" is the fuel consumption

yeah, i used to oppose using them on the street until my buddy got them to run just fine, yes it too a lot of dyno time a SFP but it worked.

set them at 0/0 and then go dyno and adjust accordingly...good luck

I am sure that he figured it out 14 years ago.
