It hasn't had a CEL since I replaced the MAF last month lol

It has a small stumble but I'm curious if the oil is getting into the spark plug holes again. I haven't yet replaced the gasket.

Got the front end started. Everything came apart with little complaint. Got it all buttoned up except the inner tie rod there isn't any play in this one so I left it for now.

Replaced the strut spring and hat, LCA and torsion arm, tie rod end, stabilizer link and U bushing.

The Rio is back on the ground! Needs an alignment maybe lol. It's stiffer but still a little soft.

I found the source of the stumble. The spark tubes had some water from power washing and oil in them still lol. However the valve cover gasket and plugs and wires are all replaced.

things are moving right along. i re-regapped the plugs properly and changed the oil. for the most part the stumble is gone, but i have a cold start idle hunt now. i'm pretty sure its the vacuum lines as they are brittle as hell.

unfortunately i cracked the radiator like an idiot over tightening a bolt. so theres $46 and a few extra days i have to wait to get an inspection.

I will do a nice Facebook reveal sometime. But for now all they have is that ridiculous video lol

Got the radiator in and new coolant. Also reinstalled the upper timing cover as the belt side of the engine is really loud. Car is re-ready for inspection lol.

The cars all set ready to go get in turn the key and The power goes out. All fuses test out ok. Has to be a short somewhere. Fixed the Shitass wiring under the dash atleast. Still same issue. Retraced my steps from the day before to no avail. Gonna try a battery charger tomorrow or the other battery.

got it fixed. it ended up being the fucking battery terminals again. the quick terminals are actually wire clamps, i had ring terminals set into the screws on the clamps. the assembly had paint on it. i stripped away the paint on both terminals and the car roared to life without an issue.

however i did add a new ground from the chassis to the battery, as well as the transmission to the chassis. the factory grounds on the drivers side were nasty. cleaned them right up with a stone bit on my dremel. may replace the front speakers tonight... however tomorrow is another day and the VT needs some love :)

that's the "road race" list.

i put it on the wall so i wouldn't lose it :)

i did not draw mocking spongebob lol

Drove it to work today and around town about 40 miles. Drove swell no trouble with the car missing or anything. Have a small "bobble" on the front passenger side I can't really find. I was able to impact the strut hat center bolt about 1/3rd turn with my impact gun. I checked all the other bolts and everything is kosher. My long pass axle has some in and out play but no up and down play.

Also found the pass side brake caliper had an extra copper washer on it and it was drooling a little so fixed that and cleaned it up with brake cleaner. Now just need to re-bleed since I ran the reservoir out of fluid.

Also also I have a P1166 o2 code and a P0501 speed sensor code. The Broken ABS sensor. The former causes the car not to rev over 5000.

Gonna get it inspected in the morning. Lol

Inspector says Its probably the wheel bearing. I'm going to buy new bearings/races and a new pass knuckle. Also upgrading to 04-05 studded hubs.

im not excited to do this "dual tapered bearing with a spacer in the middle between" BS. also has to be set to a specific preload not to fail. wonder if i can just buy same ID/OD regular bearings...

Welp I ended up tightening up the axle nut it was finger tight. Send it Saturday morning guy barely even looked at it just printed a sticker and away it went!
