Always enjoy getting updates on older builds glad it's still running. Shows when done correctly a swapped car can in fact be a reliable car.

Another update: So I had climate blower issues that eventually burned out the blower speed control resistor pack in the climate control panel. Replaced the blower. Pulled the climate control panel and the blower speed control was toast. The car harness connector was melted as well. Visited the local salvage yard and cut off a connector from a junk harness. Soldered the new harness connector into place and used heat shrink to insulate the newly soldered joints. Also picked up a salvage climate control unit as the original was melted. I installed a new Honda blower speed control for the the used climate unit and installed. All works well and the hatch is running great.

Hatch sat over the winter and when I cranked it up this week, fired the first time not problem. However, the windshield washer pump appears to have gone bad on me. The rear washer pump is fine.

This thread continues to deliver. Glad to hear the car is running well, and thank you for continually coming back to share!

Ahhhhh.....one of the things I didn't replace, the fuel tank developed a leak around the filler pipe area. Lots of rust. I pulled the rear seat to expose the top of the tank and found both the fuel pump and sending unit panels to be extremely corroded as well. That was a surprise. Now I have to replace all that hardware. Yay!(sarc..)

yeah, I don't drive it as much as I once did but it fires right up and just passed emissions testing again. I've flirted with selling it but it's so fun to drive. No match for the big torque motors around these days but still a blast in the turns.

All, I regret to inform you that the hatch will be on the selling block soon. I hate to do it but I've been laid off from Dell EMC for restructuring. Dell Technologies purchased EMC Corporation in Sep 2016. I finally got caught in the restructuring net. I will consider offers and would like to get 5K for the car and all extra parts. This car was done correctly and runs great. Just put all new brakes and tires on it 3 months ago.

It is done.....hatch is gone to a good home. I'll miss it. I'm glad I wrote this blog as there is a ton of good information, part numbers, etc...here for others to use. I'll check in on occasion. Thanks for all of your inputs!

Thanks for sharing your ride! I hope the job situation has sorted itself out

I have no answers for questions unfortunately, however I GREATLY appreciate you posting all of your progress. I am getting ready to do the exact same swap...99 b18b1 into a 96 hatch with a d16y7. I had no idea what was involved in the swap as I bought the b18 out of a junkyard car on a whim because I knew it would fit.

Still waiting for someone to help me with my issue

You never said what your issue was. Also you should start your own thread and include lots of info and photos.
