Usually 3rd sessions is the session you want to go for your best time.

Make sure you have enough fuel to make weight. I once went nearly empty at laguna and was 5lbs underweight and disqualified for that session.

Pay close attention to which mods you do and which bump you in class. Sometimes silly mods which you wouldn't think account for much bump you into the next class making competition difficult. Tires and brakes are the mods which are best to spend points on.

You will grid based on your lap times, so don't hold back too much in earlier sessions as you'll want to grid ahead of traffic if possible.

If you are unable to get by traffic, I suggest a hot pit to get some space. You'll toss away that one lap but you'll have an opportunity for a run with no traffic.

I suggest a hardwired transponder vs a re-chargable one. I've seen peoples transponder batteries die during a session; if that happens they can't collect your time.

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to look into a hardwired transponder. I think I have pretty much everything else I need to run.

I bought this car in the beginning of February, since then I've done 5 track days and ~2,600 miles and have no ragrets. Not even a single letter. Next "mod" is to put the rear sway bar on the stiffest setting. They come on a softer setting from factory so people don't wreck the car.. but I want MOAR on throttle oversteer pls

uk top gear had a 1le on the show - check that episode. The ring taxi girl sabine took it out too :)

I was involved in a hit-and-run about a week ago. Fortunately, it only really damaged the wrap on the rear bumper so I'm going to have that replaced this week.

In other news, I ordered some new brake pads. I went with GLoc (spin off of Carbotech) R12 in the front and R10 in the rear. I was honestly impressed with the stock pads but have a feeling these pads are going to make the braking that much better on this car. Hopefully the NT01s can handle it :)

The GLoc pads did great on track, pretty amazing when you can out-brake two GT3s with competent drivers in a 3,800 lb car lol. There's ~3,600 miles and 6 track days complete since I bought it in February. I corded my NT01s after 3 days and ~1,500 miles, so...

I'm swooning more about the biggest 1-car garage I've ever seen than the car itself. Sheesh, I wish I had that.

305/680/18 front and 315/680/18 rear. I will probably just do 315 square on the next set :)

Right? I was surprised at how wide they are. Mine is slowly being filled with tires lol
Texas makes garages to fit trucks. Seattle makes garages to fit a Prius. Bastards. :lmao:

I had to get a Frontier since I couldn't get a crew cab long bed Taco in stick. :( Love my Frontier though!

I like the GTR but I don’t think it’s anything special. Guess it doesn’t help that I live in an area where GTRs are every friggin where.

New car > GTR

You need to find a church and remove the hood.
