I watched most of the live feed when they unveiled it. Seems like the transmission/rear end is new tech/engineering. Supposedly shifts faster than a human can. Doesn't make me feel much better that there's no stick shift option but I'm impressed none the less.

3 different seat options and color options for seat belts is just a part of the variety of options they currently have for interior. Can't wait to see what the Z06 will be.

They claim it's the best driving corvette EVER. They say that the car feels like it rotates around the driver. I've driven two corvettes (older ones) and they both feel like they rotate near driver but a little rear biased.

My first impression was......a Corvette and a Ferrari had a baby and it is beautiful.

That's the reality of the DCT. Is it as engaging as a manual? No. But it is 100% faster and more reliable than a human making the gear changes. The DCT in my GTR was seriously impressive, especially for a 10 year-old design. That being said, I could wheel that thing around the track with a pinky on the wheel in my sleep.

I had the opportunity to track a C7 Z07 recently and, fortunately, it was right after I had spent the entire day driving my Camaro. The 'Vette was far more balanced, composed, and compliant with my inputs. The hilarity is that it was on skinny (stock width) Pilot Super Sports and felt like it turned better than my Camaro on 100 TW Goodyears. I was able to hop in the car and run a 2:24.xx on a track that I typically hit 2:20.xx consistently. The only downside was the shitty A8 transmission that must've been pulled straight out of a 1500 truck, it's that bad. Still, given a few more laps and no water crossings, I would've bested my PB. Easily. Give that car even better balance (mid-engine), maintain weight, and add hp? Yeah, game over.

I used to denounce GM cars and I still don't care for most of their vehicles, but GM Performance have really stepped up their game as of late. The C6 was fantastic, the C7 is an animal, and I have a feeling the C8 is going to rewrite the rule book.

My first impressions are that it's pretty sexy. I don't love the look of the rear end but I really like the overall shape and the lines. It sucks there's not gonna be a 3 pedal option but that's the future.

I actually had really low expectations and I was prepared to be disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised. Sub 3 second 0-60 for less than 60 grand is pretty impressive. I think once they throw another 500 horsepower on as rumors suggest it could really be something awesome.

I am impressed. The car is an exotic bargain at that price, and is rewriting the rules on super cars. I still need to see the car in person. Dimensionally the car is big, much larger than your average mid engined super car. This might make it look a little odd in person, but it will make it usable to us American sized people.

Just saw one of these on the street. Some engineer working out the bugs I'm sure, it even had a sticker on the gas cap reminding people to put premium unleaded in it lol.

My first impression in person is that the back end is......distinctive. I'll leave it at that. It didn't have any spoiler on it so maybe that would help a little bit.

The rear of the car is not my favorite either. That being said, I don't really have to look at it so I don't really care. :D

The front reminds me of an NSX, which I totally love. The ass end reminds me of a $30,000 Dodge, "we'll keep some heritage" bullshit. I hate it. They're a refined and flush rear away from looking like a $250,000 car.

I guess to that point, it's more of a "mulletmobile" than @Matts96HB probably realized. The car is definitely screaming "sophisticated in the front, party trash in the rear". lol

It's the "finest glass of pinkie-out Merlot" in the front, and "drank one too many Olde English 40 ozers so I'm puking in my step mom's bath tub" in the rear.
