2 batteries and a free tool?

so for the ryobi deal, you get 2 batteries, a charger and a bag for $149. add a free tool.

OR

the link i posted above gives you 2 batteries, a charger and a bag for $149. with a bunch of tools.

i guess the deal makes sense if you already have a set and looking to expand......

Another thing to factor in to your decision, is what do people you know that are likely to help you with a project run. If they run _____, you having _____ means that the batteries will be compatible across both of your tools. (Label your batteries to keep them from growing legs)

Well there goes my idea of stealing your batteries.

Seriously though. I bought a Ryobi impact driver 4 plus years ago and used the shit out of it. it was a deal where you buy a charger/battery you get a battery for free and then bought the tool priced pretty low. years later I wanted a recip saw (sawzall) and found it priced at like $70 bucks tool only. Ryobi had me hooked at this point with their battery so I wanted to stay with their brand. I ended up buying a drill, recip saw, circular saw, flash light, 2 battery, 1 charger kit for like $129. The circular saw is awesome, cuts more square than my plug in.

I don't use them to make money just my hobbies, with Ryobi brand i'm now rolling with 5 tools (if you count the flash light which I use more than I had expected) 4 batteries and 2 chargers for around $230 :imgone:

Score !

I got a Bauer impact from Hazard Fraught. $100 and got an extra battery, impact adapters, magnetic sockets, and a bag thing that's worthless. I've had it for about three weeks now.

It's not bad, but I wish it had torque control and better speed control.

I have seen a few of the 1/4" Bauer impacts drivers on job sites that were total pos's. Overheating, short battery life, and not the best control. Just a heads up that it my not hold up if you are using it a lot.

So far so good. I've been using it for a while, basically as a "bolt/nut remover" for everything. I still hand-tighten everything.

I picked this up last year around the time of this thread...

RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Cordless 3-Speed 1/2 in. Impact Wrench (Tool-Only)-P261 - The Home Depot

I've used it 2x now for changing out my snow/summer wheels, and it works like a freaking charm.

Makes the whole process much quicker and easier than doing it by hand. Still use a tq wrench for tightening but you can start threading them in by hand, then zip them in on the low setting, and they don't get too tight to finish them up with the tq wrench.

The high setting gets the lug bolts out no problem (it's a VW)

Very happy with my purchase.

I have a Ridgid (X4 maybe?) Impact that I bought because I have the hammer drill with the same batteries. 1/2" drive. Honestly have barely used the thing.

Last night I finally decided to change the blades on the tractor. Been at least 8 years so I figured it was due lol. The air impact gun that fell into my backpack when we got shut down last summer is the best investment I never made.

A battery powered impact is certainly no comparison to an air impact. But with no air available, it beats the hell out of hand tools.

Haven't had to use it for any other jobs yet, so I can't really say how it would do breaking other more stubborn bolts loose.

I still have to break out my air impact for big things. Sometimes just swapping the battery for a new one is good enough, but the other times, I've gotta go grab the air tools.

so that should work great with my vw then lol and match my batteries!

also the milwaukee fuel shit is intense. my buddy has a battery impact gun 1/2 the size of my ryobi drill and it absolutely murders crank bolts. love it.

epanded kit on sale today only at HD

Special Buy Of The Day

the air pump + flashlight kit looks like a good grab at that price.

i'm waiting for the weedwacker and 6amp battery. my Worx one doesn't last long enough on the new yard :/

So tempting but all the 2 tool sets have one tool I already have. Would love the speed ratchet. I would have bought that if I didn’t get this cheap one from HF!

No makita :(

They had a deal for a saw with 2 5.0ah batteries + 2 more for $250. Almost pulled the trigger, should have...
