by all means- get it.

it cracks due to impropper bracing. the weight of the turbo and downpipe and 1/2 of the exhaust adds up fast.

rarely do they crack from the actually boost/flow.

make a couple braces, support the downpipe from the back of the block, and make sure the exhaust is hung properly and HAS A FLEX PIPE on the downpipe... and all that and you should be fine.

Alright thanks man, I'll let you know how things go

Have any pics of the DP braced along with the manifold?

you don't need pics, just go out to the garage and look at your stock motor.

yeah, sparks, OBX, SSautochrome etc all made similar EXCEPT.

The ones I sell have 2 strong brackets on them to brace them.

Jeff,

So you're saying that a SSautchrome is as good as yours except from the extra 2 strong brackets on yours?

So if I can get a cheap SSautochrome, weld a pair of strong brackets on then and brace my downpipe, I should do fine?

Or is yours also made of thicker/stronger material?

Yes, That is what he is saying.

I'm not sure if his is thicker/stronger though. I'll have to let him answer that.

We have been using sparks manifolds for 4 years. When we properly brace it, they simply do not crack. And its thin like the rest of the brands out there. The love and the full race are thicker, way thicker.

And they are better products. But they are a different price category.

I don't believe people that consider the SS auto, OBX, mine or sparks even consider those brands. Its a different market.

Remember, you can't get the best for the least amount of money. You have to make a compromise.

Bracing it is the way to go.
