Well I finaly finished my swap and It cost me way more than I thought it would. Once I added up the cost of the Engine ,ECU, downpipe, header, clutch, waterpump , timing belt, struts, radiator, new plugs and wires, And then once i was done I had to pay 680$ labor to get it running right. all and all I spent 3,800. 1,500 of which i didnt have. . I spent so much because i figured while i was in there i might as well fix every wrong with the car (ie..radiator, struts, clutch....) so just so i dont feel quite so broke let me know how much some of you guys spent, and was it worth it?

First swap, LS into 92 hatch $1100
Later for this swap was an extra 700 for peiced together turbo kit.

This swap less than $1000, LS swap into 93 Cx Hatch

Upcomming swap (couple weeks) LS into 92 Vx Hatch under a "G"

Damn skippy it was worth it.

Damn...

First Swap
93 B18A into a 90 Integra, piece of cake
Second Swap (after spinning rod bearing in above said car)
91 B18A into a 90 Integra, again Piece of Cake
Third Swap (rather a Conversion)
Performed the AT-MT with help of ef9civicgen4 Dec. 10(-14th) 03.
Fourth Swap
DPFI-MPFI, AT-MT in a 90 CRX DX. Holy hell was this fun
Fifth Swap
DPFI-MPFI in a 91 Civic HB. Crazy... I think I had the 4 Injectors wires hooked up wrong. Sold car for $1200.
Sixth Swap
AT-MT Conversion and 93 Prelude H22A into a 93 Accord. Didnt do any of the wiring.
Seventh Swap
95 Prelude H22A into a 95 Accord. Didnt do any of the wiring.
Eighth Swap
B18B into a 91 CRX Si. Pretty damn simple. Used Hasport Mounts and a B16 Cable Trans.
Ninth Swap
B20B Into a 90 Integra. With basic bolt ons.

All the swaps were worth it. I wish I would have done the wiring on at least 1 of the H22 swaps... all it would have been one hell of a learning experience. Speaking for my own swaps (the LS's, AT-MT's and MPFI conversion in BOLD ITALIC) they were well worth it. Now I want to fucis my attention to just building engines. D/B/H's whatever. I have rebuilt 1 D series with the help of a freind (my union Neighbor - LOL) From my stand point that would be worth more than a swap. Seeing how well you can assemble the engine without bearing failure, etc...

Swap One
Mini-me build and swap into a 90 civic hatch- Super easy, straight foward and almost free

Swap Two
B18a into the same 90 hatch- Cost was about 1500 due to some really good hookups with a retard who wrecked his car.

Swap Three
Another b18a into the same hatch- Again, the cost was super low- Traded the old block from the previous swap for a fire damaged motor that just needed a new wiring harness, therefore this swap only cost about 400.

Swap Four
JDM GSR in to my civic- My first swap in my own car, not cheap by any standards- All said and done the swap and every part touching it set me back close to 5 grand

everyone was worth it, and if you notice, almost every swap was an increase in horsepower- The trend will continue with the 240

I didn't do my struts, but by the time you figure for stereo, rims, engine, tranny, ecu, chip burner, wideband 02, alarm, etc.:

I've spent all of what you have. Was it worth it, well, YEAH!!! I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think so.

For Under 6k, I have a bad ass Accord that starts itself, looks pimp, and is a great daily driver.

My girl has a 2004 Civic LX, and she's jealous. My car looks fairly stock, and the inside and outside are nice. I have more power, and better options. This isn't a bash, I love Civics too. They're just not my car.

Age 14 built a go kart with a 250cc motor
Age 16 bought stock dx hatch put in funny juice, 2 weeks later swapped in a d16a6, ran great for 8 weeks, then, well let’s just say I am addicted, and then I swapped in a d16a2.
By the age of 17 I had my samari and have done well a tube chassis 1 link and 4 link suspension and too many motors too count.
By the time I hit 18 I was enlisted and had little to no extra time for 2 years then had way to much time and money.
