I live in Florida area and recently took delivery of my custom built mobile dyno. It houses a 2004 Dynojet 224x, with A/F and atmospheric monitoring.

If anyone would like to have it at their shop, car show, meet, etc.. or for tuning time you can reach me at tuningtricks@comcast.net

nice looking dyno. whats the highest horsepower you've recorded on it?

on a side note: thats a HUGE picture...lol

Thanks, I agree, it's even better in person.

Sorry about the pic, it is very reduced, both size and quality, next time I'll go down ALOT further.

We've seen about 600hp and 550 lbs of tq out of a bottle fed LS1. The highest Honda was around 300hp and 240tq @11psi on a built dohc 2.2 liter dart block, once some fuel managment issues are worked out we will be tuning it to 35-45 psi range in 2 and 1 psi incriments. The thing should put down some impressive #s.

As far as the other Dyno goes I wish them the best, but that set-up does not begin to compare to our set-up. I researched all the dynos available on the market and discovered why Dynojet dominates the market, even though they are much more expensive than the competion. At the end of the day having a mobile dyno service available to you is great, whatever it is.

anyone else think pushing 35-45 psi on a honda engine is insane? granted i dont know how often it's driven, but unless he plans on rebuilding it every few runs down a drag strip..

while at Pomona last time they had the import drags, i talked to one of Kenny Tran's guys, he drives the Quaker State EG hatch. the guy said they run about 48 PSI, on a 1.9 liter, B18. and it runs around 1100 hp, and best time was like 8.xx seconds

that's insane, and I thought my future upgrade to 15 psi was a big step.

48 is overdoing it for me, if I ever drove anything with 1100 hp I would kill myself.

built dohc 2.2 liter dart block

its prob got 8:1 compression...

i wouldn't really call a dart block a honda engine
lol

I'm serious about strapping down two bikes too. If I get a chance, I might have to get some video.

running that much boost is well within the limits if the tuning is good.

a friend of mine (www.arfabrication.com) has run 42psi and had no problems with the motor. it comes down to the fuel delivery system and the driveline...which in his case ended with the teeth of 4th gear giving up at 7k rpm.
