Yeah, and all I'm saying is that you can do all the bitching and moaning you want. All it does it make you look like a sore loser and childish. You can't change it man, just get over it. Lose with some dignity, don't pull the fucking ref card. That's just lame. They called it as well as they could, and they miss some and get some. If it went the other way, i'm sure you wouldn't be complaining.

I'd still be complaining even if they won. Officiating in the NCAA is moronic most of the time, and total lunacy the rest.

When Oregon lost the Holiday bowl to OK I wasn't even mad, they got out played and they did their best, I called it fair enough.

National Title games should not be decided by blown officiating. UT rushed for the extra point so the officials didn't have time to review the play. The current sytem lends itself to the errors made. And teams like UT are encouraged to use tactics like this because they are legal, UT knew they didn't score a TD but could pull it off if they hurried, that isn't sportsmanship, that isn't what a national champ is made of, and that's what made me mad.

I'm not even a USC fan, just a fan of honest competition and NCAA football

Sorry but Vince Young earned nothing

Silverchild79,

Lets stick to facts then:

1. He threw for 267 yards, completing 30/40.

2. He rushed for 200 yards. Thats more yards than Reggie Bush (82), Lendale White (124), and was only 9 yards short of all the Trojans combined.

A quarterback that did his job passing and rushed for basically the same yards as all of the members of the other team combined, no, he earned nothing.

We can all tell your very upset about your team losing, but you can't deny these numbers. The facts stand, Vince Young had a great game, the Trojans were outplayed, they lost--no changing it, time to get over it.

Edit1: I agree with you however, VY was down on that lateral, but you know what, if he was called down, he still would have picked up the 1st down and odds are, they would have scored, effectivly changing nothing.

Edit2: Do you get this upset about every sports game you watch? Because I have yet to see perfect officiating.

its just a game guys... a game that none of us will play.

For anyone who thinks USC was robbed a championship, take a look at this. The Trojans could of won,

had the Trojans not given up 18 fourth-quarter points, including two VY touchdown runs that featured more missed tackles than you can shake a Song Girl pompom at.

had the Trojans converted a fourth-and-2 at the Texas 45 with only 2:13 remaining on the clock.

had the Trojans not given up 289 rushing yards (200 by Young) and 267 passing yards (Young was 30-of-40).

had the Trojans not used all their timeouts, leaving none available for their final, desperate drive.

had Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush not suffered a blood-flow problem to his brain during a second-quarter pass play where he attempted to lateral -- repeat, lateral -- as Longhorn defenders were attached to his uni. Hello, fumble.

had the Trojans converted a fourth-and-1 at the Texas 17 midway through the first quarter.

had the Trojans not belly flopped on three consecutive first-half possessions inside the Texas 26 that resulted in zero points.

That was from an ESPN columnist; if anyone is to blame for USC losing....it's themselves.

it was a good game...

but if were bitching about bad officiating... penn state should have been in the rose bowl.... 2 seconds my ass

WVU won the Sugar Bowl :)

i loved everytime they showed georgia fans, they were just sitting quietly

okay. im sick of the stupid posts that consist of "its just a game" "football is gay" "who cares?" "get a life" fuck all of you. THis is what WE like to do, watch talk and follow football. Lay off, its annoying and old. We get it, you dont like sports... go jerk off.

anywho, there were bad calls on both sides, one interception for Texas that they called an incomplete pass that led to a USC td. I agree, the Texas call about vince youngs knee being down is retarded, i dont understand why they didnt even look at it, and why usc didnt challenge it. oh well, its football, blown calls come with the game.

Everything aside, both teams played tremedously. Im a USC fan, and i wanted them to win badly, but im not gonna piss and moan about it. Vince Young deserves the MVP award. Great game, one of the best bowl games ive seen in a while.

If I remember correctly, that play didn't get reviewed because Texas hustled to get another play off, effectively making the previous play unreviewable. Same thing goes in the NFL.

Yup, and it's a rule that encourages dishonesty.

I'm sick of this arguing, people misquoting Bush's stats (remember he plays special teams too), and people who come on here to say football is gay (Seany is right, go beat off and go back to playing EQ. We'll be watching football, drinking beer, talkin shit, eating red meat, cleaning our guns, and railing our model hot trophy gf's/wives... but apperently that kind of behavior is gay.)

I have only one more thing to say about UT

Chuck Norris is Vince Youngs real father

ahhh i noticed the round house kick injuries were unusually high in this game

See, THIS is the GoldenShower79 that we all remember.

Whambulance.gif

Both teams had bad calls. Vince Young would have just run it in the next play if he did get called down, and you fucking know it.

Nobody got fucked more this year than Michigan, so until a Michigan person starts a cry baby thread like you, kindly shut the fuck up.

for someone who loves football so much, you must know that USC can't challenge a call, right?

vince was down inside the 10 i believe, UT would have scored anyway.

Trojans...

Can Prevent STD's.

Can't Prevent VinceTD's!
